In the Garden

Good Morning!!!

Today's theme is to create a Garden Themed Card

I decided to go with an older image from Gary Roberston Called 

Daffodil Pots. The cool thing about this image, is you can purchase it in Rubber, or in Digi Form

I used a digi image for this card, which is 5x7 so I could blow up the image to a nice size for watercolouring!

I added some black and white spatters  and some sparkly stickles for interest!

This card is going to a dear friend who is celebrating a Birthday very soon!!

I LOVE this sentiment and use it quite a lot on my cards!!!!

Alicorn Happiness

Good Morning!

 

I have another share for you from TLC Designs Stamps

I created this card with the most adorable set called Alicorn Happiness

You can find it in Tammy-Louise's shop now!!!

I created the background with Oxide Inks, A Starry Background Stamp and some embossing powder!

I coloured the sweet little Alicorns with Prismacolor Pencils and some sparkly gel pen.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment onto an oval piece and sponged the color in with the oxides!

I can't wait to create more fun cards with these sweet little fellas!!! Well Maybe they are ladies....but I do know they are Stinkin' Cute!!!!

I am absolutely Smitten with this Lotus image.

The Lotus carries a great deal of meaning for me as it is a symbol of beauty that emerges through the mud and the muck to show it's beauty.

It is a Buddhist Symbol of Rebirth and Enlightenment.

To me it shows despite enduring hardship in life, we can make it through those difficult times to emerge stronger and more beautiful each time we conquer our fears, resolve conflict and heal emotionally, physically and psychically.

I stamped and heat embossed the Lotus image in White

This image is Lotus Flower 1

 I painted the image in with watercolours, using a combination of Daniel Smith and Prima Marketing Watercolours.

To finish off the card, I added the 

Brighter Days ahead sentiment.

St. Paddy's Birthday Fun!

How is your week starting out??

Since we are hopping with new release stuff on the 17th and I have another post for tomorrow, I wanted to share a cute St. Patrick's Day Birthday card I made for a good friend of our Family. She's received it already, so it wont ruin the surprise!!!

I created the fun card with a variety of dies from Impression Obsession including

 I used a SUPER cute background paper from Memory Box that is cut especially to create slimline cards

in Spring Plaid

Lastly, I added a little bling for a little ZING!!!

Sweetie the Dragon brings SWEET news!!!!

Good Morning!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

It's back to being a bit cold here, but SUNNY!!!! Yes! I can take any temperature, so long as the Sun is shining!!!

Today, I'm sharing a sweet card I created for TLC Designs using Sweetie the Dragon as the main image, along with the Balloon and Hat from Happy The Dragon

In fact you should have ALL the Dragons from the TLC Designs Shop, they're super cute!!!

I coloured this little fella with Prism Pencils, blending with Gamsol.

Butterflies for Momma!

Good Morning!

I wanted to share this pretty card I made for my Momma's Birthday!

She loves her cards and because she is so special, she deserves a card worthy of her!!

She also loves having her age on the card and displays it for the year when she replaces it with a new model!!!!  She looks amazing for her age and doesn't try to hide it, although most would not guess she's an Octogenarian!!! Is that how you spell it?

No matter how you spell it, she looks friggin beautiful and I think my wrinkles are starting to outnumber hers.....eeeeep!!

Look at that pretty face!!!!

Anyway, her Birthday was February 12th, but I couldn't share the card because the butterfly dies were not released until March (the large butterflies!)

I'm talking about that big beautiful butterfly above the "81"

My Momma is not only a Birthday Queen, she is just simply a Queen...Queen Mary Alexandria!!!

Love my best friend, confidante, boxing match opponent (well verbally sometimes hahaha!)

and the woman who brought me into the world and probably could take me out cause she's a hella tougher than me, to the MOON and Back!

Darling Dragons with TLC Designs

Good Morning~

a month or so ago, I shared some cute cards from TLC Designs, a small and lovely company I started doing some design work for.

Today I'm featuring a couple of adorable stamps, coupled with an interactive die and a fun Star die.

Introducing 

Happy Dragon

Dreamer the Dragon

I coloured these l'il cuties with Prism Pencils, blending with Gamsol.

I chose colours that were more neutral than the classic green and purple you see on many Dragons.

Not that I don't like green and purple... I do, I DO!!! I just wanted to showcase an alternative and more specifically softer look.

So now I have to tell you, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Star Spangled Confetti die.

With 7 (yes 7!) dies in this set, you can do all sorts of fun things!!!!

What did I do? 

Well I made those starts SWING!!!

How did I do that you ask?

Why, I used the the Double Dial Die

I'm not going to kid ya, I did find it a touch challenging to use the die by just reading the directions, but Tammy Louise, has a great video on You Tube, that makes assembly a snap!!!

For this card, I layered the Beautiful Butterfly die over some patterned paper I made with the Gel Press.

I mounted the Butterflies over the Rectangle Frame for additional interest.

Lastly, I added the sentiment.
