Kraftin' Kimmies Sneaky Peeky!!!! Bench Friends

Kraftin' Kimmies February Release came on so fast for me! With Christmas just out of the way and a week in California, I can't believe that we're almost halfway through February already! Where DOES the time go!!!!

I absolutely LOVE bench friends. These whimsical images from Jean really touch my heart! I used to be an avid Teddy Bear Collector. It wasn't a particular brand, although I was partial to Gunds and Boyd's Bears, but really it was more about the connection with the Bears.......okay so here's where I reveal one of my beliefs........

A Teddy Bear will call out to you............yes, really, they will. First of all they catch your eye. Whether they're sitting amongst a whole bear family, in a showcase or display on their own, they make eye contact (not the creepy chucky kind out of a horror movie, but just a sweet sweet glance) You look away, but for some reason you're compelled to have another glance.....they're looking right back at you, almost as if saying...........pick me, take me home.

Are you following? or do you think it's time to run away as fast as you can from the crazy ladie's blog, never to return??? When I was first dating my ex husband, he showered me with bears......lots and lots and lots of bears............a LOT of bears..........but none that really captured my heart.........pink bears, blue bears.....multicoloured bears..........lol!!! He was definitely attempting to please me with quantity........and then I told him my belief about bears....yeah, he still married me. Of course he quickly raised an eyebrow, smirked and gave me one of those "get real" looks...........I insisted that my theory is true.............. a bear will hand pick it's owner, if they (the purchaser) are attuned!

I gently directed him away from Kmart and to a couple of stores that carried the bears that spoke out to me............lol! The next occasion...... I am thinking it was Valentines Day, I received the most pleasant surprise! A Beautiful Black Bear........soft and cuddly, plush and expressive. Even more exciting was the expression on his face when I opened the parcel and he said "you're right" (well I LOVE hearing that!!!! not just about Bears!) He went on to tell me that he was in the store carefully choosing my gift. He had a pretty White Bear all picked out, when he caught this sweet little fella looking at him. He looked and thought he was nice, but picked up the white bear..........he said it was almost as if this little guy said "put that bear down" it's ME you need........being a little stubborn, he was still going for the other one, but he felt that this guy was being quite persistent and finally gave in. He was a perfect Bear!!!

Now either he bought into my belief or he was just trying hard to impress me in his courtship, but I truly believe that he was, captivated by that little guy!!! I know that I was and although I didn't receive as many bears after that, the bears that did make it home, were meant to be there!

I think sometimes stamps speak out to me too.............but that's a story for another time!

I love the intimacy of this stamp set and the sentiment that accompanies it... Friendship needs no words.............a pretty stamp, a beautiful saying

This stamp is my favourite out of this months release, but just WAIT until you see what else Kimmie has for you this month! All I can say is the images are INCREDIBLE!!!! Head on over to the Krafty Girls sites to see their fabulous creations and stay tuned for more sneaks this week, followed by a huge blog hop on Sunday!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 15-Take a Peek (It's an Aperture Card!)

Take a peek and what do you see? Aperture cards are basically window type cards! This is our challenge week, brought to you by one of our Fabby Guest Kraftie's Melanie. Forget me not Fairy was perfect for me for this challenge. She's dancing on her pretty toesies !!!

I remembered to colour Miss Forget me not with Copics! I LOVE purple and don't use it often enough!

My awesome nestabilities allowed me to do the layered cutout and I found some Fabulous CTMH daisy type of flowers to match the Eggplant Paper. Daisy Cuttlebug was used to create some dimension on the white background and the DP in behind her is from BG!

Well as you're reading this I'm probably on the plane back home! I'm sure hoping that it's not too cold and that I can get myself adjusted to the time change and the cool weather

Take a peek at the Kraftie's blogs to see what they designed for you this week! If you check Melanie's blog and play along, you could win the image that she's been playing with this week!

Good Morning!!! Hope you're all getting your week off to a great start!!!! Over at the Pink Elephant, we're making Birthday Cards!!! Our Sponsor this week is Kraftin' Kimmie and as you have seen if you've been following, her January Release is Out of this World!!!!

Want to win some Kraftin' Kimmie images? Head on over to THE PINK ELEPHANT Blog and Upload your finest Birthday Creations!!!

Genevieve is the subject of my card today! I coloured her with Copics and pretty much kept this card simple. I just picked up this wide border stamp at M's yesterday as they had a great sale on!

I did read a tip on someone's blog..........sorry, I can't remember exactly who, but if you're reading this, leave a comment and I'll edit my post to give you credit. Anyway, the Tip was on Haircolour............. I didn't have the exact markers, but I used E00 Skin White, E31 Brick Beige and a touch of E33-sand to create this Ashy Blonde Hair. I am LOVIN this combo as I find that when I use Yellows, I don't get the blonde hair that I'm striving to achieve!

The crocheted flower on my card is from my dear friend Andreanne, who has been creating these pretty embellishments for some time.......gee, I wish I could crochet

Hope that you'll play along!

Counting down the days until CHA............ 13 more sleeps and i'll be in Anaheim! I can hardly wait to see some of my favourite peeps and to meet some of my internet buddies for the first time!

Happy Stamping!

Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday Challenge12-Heavy Metal

Tara is our Hostess this week and came up with a fabulous challenge-Heavy Metal....being a rocker, I made sure that I listened to AC/DC when creating this project! lol........The challenge is to use Metal Embellishments. I've had this board from the Dollar store for quite some time. After I coloured up this sweet new Wagon Ride image and cut it out, I decided I like it too much to simply use it on a card. I dug through my collections of frames to see if I had one that would compliment the size of the image, but really couldn't find one to work. Thus the Board!

Wagon Ride will be available this Sunday! Did you ever have a little red wagon mishap?? I had a red wagon, but was fortunate enough not to have endured any trauma in it........but Bicycles, well that is a totally different story..........our family didn't have too much luck with bicycles. While racing around the Church Gravel covered parking lot one day, I took a curve too fast and DOWN I went!!!! OUCH.........I hobbled on over to my friends house, where her mom slapped a bandaid on it..........having had 6 kids, I guess she didn't think it was a big deal.

When my mom got home and had a look, well that was a different story.........and thus a trip to the emergency dept..............Fourteen stitches and a cast later..........I had to stay off my bike.

Well and then my Mom got the bright idea that she would purchase Bicycles for her and Dad so that we could do family Bike Rides. Not just any bikes.........matching PURPLE CCMS.......lol....my Dad was REAL impressed with the colours. So one fine sunny Sunday morning, we all set out for a leisurely ride........Me, Mom, Dad.................one Happy Family.......NOT for long!!!

Mom and Dad hadn't even gotten to the end of the block when the COLLISION occured......I'm really not sure who caused it, but all I remember is the two of them in a heap on the ground, my dad, knees drawn up, clutching well..........you know.........my Mom, yelling at him saying that he cut her off........him insisting it was she that drove in front of him and announcing that he had scraped his "hind wheels!" HONESTLY...........It wasn't so amusing at the time, but I kind of chuckle when I think about it now........Dad seemed to recover........Mom continued to blame....for weeks and weeks actually and Dad's posterior never gracing that Bicycle seat again......we went back to Sunday Drives in the Car, listening to Merle Haggard on the 8 Track and stopping for some Fish & Chips and Orange Pop!

Hope that you'll play along with us this week! Head on over to the Challenge Blog to get all the deets on the play and how to hook us up with your creations!!
