C4C 108-Autumn Recipe

It's challenge time and this week our challenge hostess Tammy Hershberger has given us another fun challenge.

Our challenge this week is a .... Recipe Challenge – Use only LEAF images, your card must include a rust or burnt orange color (but is not limited to only this color), only 2 fibers (ribbon, lace, twine, fabric) and only 3 embellishments (but whether you choose to use just 3 embellishments, or 3 different types of embellishments is your call!) No leaf images? Use a plant or flower with leaves image!


For my card, I created a background with this Beautiful Leaf   Stamp. First I stamped the leaf in rust on the card base. I then stamped the leaf with versamark ink onto the shipping tag and heat embossed with gold powder. I added a few splatters in Tea Dye Ink with the Splatter Long stamp and then sponged over with Rusty Nail and Scattered Straw. The sentiment enjoy life was stamped on rust and sponged with Rusty Nail Ink All Stamps are from Stampotique Orginals. My Two fibers included Crumb Cake Seam Binding and Natural Hemp Twine. Embellishments: Skelton Leaves, Vintage Brad and a clip! I really enjoyed creating this Autumn Card because I TOTALLY love Autumn and I don't really tend to create backgrounds and such!

Crazy4Challenges 106-SPOOOOOKY!

Hi everyone,

Barb's back with another fun challenge for us all today. It's not too soon to start on Halloween projects. Today's challenge is to make a Halloween card or decor project. If you don't "do" Halloween, then let's see another Fall project.

I coloured up this sweet digi image from Tiddly Inks with my Touch Twin Markers. I have been so pleasantly surprised with the depth of colour that I've been achieving and the way that they blend so easily. I added a touch of Jelly Roll Stardust Pen to places in the dress and hat for a little bit of glitz~ The BOO sentiment is from The {Stamps}of Life- Spooky2Scare Additionally I used Stephanie's inks in Licorice and Grape and I'm crazy about them too~

Additional Supplies include: Fleur de Lis Nestabilities rectangles, Martha Stewart Border Punch . Basic Grey Eerie DP, SU! Star Punch and Dew Drops.............notice the little skullies in my main pic??? If you were here last Saturday, you would have seen them in my project............amazing that they lasted another week in my house!!!!

Crazy4 Challenges 101-Playing Bingo with Flourishes!

Before we get into today challenge, we need to introduce this month's sponsor which is Flourishes. They have some gorgeous stamp sets, so why not hop on over to their web site when you are finished here.


For our challenge this week let's play some bingo, you need to select 3 items that are in a straight line, either horizontal, vertical or diagonal and use these on your card/ project.

For my card, I chose the combination of  Die Cuts, Flowers and Buttons, but I also see that I have actually made a cross, as I used Ribbon and Embossing as well! Double Bingo for me!!! Wish I could be so lucky in a Bingo Parlour!!!!

My main image hails from the exquisite Poppy Patch Stamp Set. I coloured the Poppies with Copic Markers and added a touch of Ultrafine Black Flower Soft. The Die Cut is a Nestabilities Beaded Oval

Crazy 4 Challenges 46- Bunches of Buttons

This week our challenge is to use beaucoup de buttons on your card!!! This image, A Mae Day from our Sponsor, Some Odd Girl Stamps was just perfect for our challenge!!!!

I stamped and coloured her with Copic Markers and layered her onto this complimentary paper from October Afternoon (Fly a Kite: Picnic Table) .............I added some buttons and then to complete this quick card a Rub on.......... I'm still feeling a little lazy from my surgery, so I feel like my mojo isn't at it's best!

Crazy 4 Challenge #44

Hi everyone,

Before we get onto today's challenges we have a couple of updates for you. Firstly as you may have read last week in Mercy's last challenge she hostess and she also bade us farewell. We loved having her on the team for the past 11 months.

For my card, I used Fred Bear Hits the Beach on of MFT's sets that will be released very soon. Please see the MFT Blog for more details. I love this cute little Bear! I coloured Fred with Copics. To get that textured fur look, I used the Dirty Rag technique..........Dirty Rag! Sounds kind of icky, but you get a good result. To do this, you colour and shade your image as you like it. Then you take a small piece of an old rag ( a gnatty facecloth works well) add some colorless blender to it and dab gently over the areas to which you want to create texture. Do this in layers....for instance, if you don't feel that you have enough texture the first dabbing through, let the image dry completely and repeat! I used Sand and Toffee Ultrafine Flowersoft to create the sand

C4C 30- Sketch Challenge

I used Cappuccino Pippen! I love the chubby little cheeks on this furry ball of sweetness and had to add wee bit of Cappuccino foam (liquid applique) to it's nose!!!! I coloured Pippen with Copics....don't know where the heck this DP hailed from, but I sure do think it fit my theme this week! Other than that, not much more to say 'bout the card! Getting Punch Happy and Touchy Feely!

Is that sounding a little aggressive? lol~~~ Actually I'm keeping my hands to myself! Punch Happy is the C4C Challenge this week (week 13) and Touchy Feely is the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge for this week (Week 8). Again, I combined the two challenged to create my Stuck on You card. What do you think of Bonnie and Clyde? They are quite the couple aren't they? Do you think they're being extra cautious not to Tangle their porcupiney quills? Do you suppose they have a prickly relationship..........lol! Okay enough already.........Bonnie and Clyde are new December release stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and illustrated by Crissy, who happens to be our Challenge Hostess this week!

The challenge is to add elements that would create texture in the card. To do so, I cuttlebugged the brown layer, added a metal photo corner and ribbons and a button of course!!!
