Good Morning!
Welcome to the Impression Obsession and My Sweet Petunia Fall Blog Hop!
I love my Mini Misti for stamping smaller card fronts and images
I absolutely adore this Deer Crossing Image . The ability to stamp precisely with my Misti allowed me to bring the image to life by stamping in different colours
Here's how I did it:
1. Align the paper and the stamp in the Misti
9. Stamp the Merry Christmas Sentiment in Old Olive.
10. Sponge the edges of the cardstock ( I used soft sky)
Layer and mount to a 6"x6" card base

I absolutely adore this Deer Crossing Image . The ability to stamp precisely with my Misti allowed me to bring the image to life by stamping in different colours
Here's how I did it:
1. Align the paper and the stamp in the Misti
2. Ink the entire stamp with a light coloured ink in order to get an overall impression
3. Clean the stamp with a wet wipe and Ink the trees in a lighter shade of green.
4. Reink the Trees with a Darker shade of green ( I used Old Olive).
5. Clean the stamp and ink the deer in a shade of brown-stamp
6. Clean the stamp and using a marker, colour in the Cabins. Huff on the stamp to give added moisture and stamp on the cardstock. Add a second coat of marker if necessary.
7. Clean the stamp and using a water based marker, colour in the fence line, stamp.
8. Clean the stamp. Using either a glue pad ink up the stamp quickly. Stamp and apply glitter, shaking off the excess. Alternatively paint on a thin coat of glue and seal and stamp, followed by glitter. If you do this, be sure to clean the stamp well with water.
Using a Marker, pencil in the roof lines on the Cabin.
9. Stamp the Merry Christmas Sentiment in Old Olive.

ReplyDeleteI never knew you could do this type of coloring on a stamp with the MISTI but now I see how you did it. I have to get a MISTI so I can start stamping again. I am not good at coloring in images and this makes it so I wouldn't have to do that. Just color on the stamp. Thank you for sharing this idea!

ReplyDeleteVicki this is such a wonderful winter scene and beautiful Christmas card. I've avoided buying stamps like the Deer Crossing because I wasn't quite sure what to do with them other than stamp them in black in and mix in a few colours. Seemed like an awful lot of colouring in fact, however you've broken down everything in your details so well, it looks really doable. Thanks so much.
