Impression Obsession FABULOUS Valentine Release!!!

I am OVER THE MOON with the latest Stamps and Dies from Impression Obsession Stamps!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the heart stamps and well......this sentiment stamp totally cracked me up~~

The Sentiment is from the Cupid was Here set by Kalani Allred

I absolutely LOVE her Yummy Yummy Sentiments!!!

I knew when I saw this that I had to make a Slider Card!

You can find the fantastic Tutorial HERE on Splitcoaststampers

I used Prima Engraver 6x6 paper as I wanted to create a Masculine Themed Valentine

I embellished the card with one of the Sweet Cupid Dies from the Cupid Die Set

and a Tiny Heart from the Conversation Heart Die  that coordinates with the Conversation Heart  Stamp Set. As A Pull for the Slider, I tied on a Tim Holtz Key with Hemp and added some chipboard gears that i've had kicking around for a bit...... I distressed the edges of my paper with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink. These new stamps have finally kicked my Mojo Butt and have my creative Juices Flowing!

DT Thursday with Impression Obsession!

I hope that you had a Wonderful Christmas with Friends and Family

We enjoyed a Wonderfully Quiet Day with those closest to us, who mean the most!

Now that there are no little ones in the house, our morning was late and leisurely. We shared our gifts around 10 a.m. followed by a lovely Brunch of Sausages and Wife Saver Casserole.

My Grandmother used to make this recipe. It's quite enjoyable because it's all assembled the evening before, which allows you to just pop it into the oven an hour before you want to eat.

Here is the link to the Recipe

I wanted to share another quick and easy but elegant Christmas Card with you!

When making cards in bulk, I like to have a simple design to make the task much easier!

I cut Cardstock Pieces at 4.25" x 11 "

I then Used Tone on Tone Real Red Ink to stamp the Watercolor Poinsettia Background

I stamped the Beautiful Sentiment in Gold Pigment Ink and Embossed with Gold Glory Embossing Powder. I added a small Faux Bow to the Bottom left of the card to pretty it up just a touch!

The Sentiment is called

Enjoy the rest of your Holiday!

Bows and Holly- Z Becky Brown

Good Morning!!!

Once again, I apologize for being so scarce on my Blog.....I hope that you are all well and well on your way to having your Christmas to do list accomplished. I'm getting closer, but still have some things to tend to. Today, I'll decorate the tree. I'm looking forward to good company to adorn the boughs, to share laughter and some positive energy!

I generally find Christmas to be a bit of a stressful time, but this year I look forward to it. To surround myself with the spirit of the season, to remind myself what is truly important in my life and to transition into a New Year, leaving the past behind me.....learning from my mistakes, letting go and forgiving.

I created this fun purse to celebrate the Season. This Gorgeous Paper from The Farmhouse Paper Company. I embellished the purse with Die Cuts from Impression Obsession

Ribbon from Michaels and Stampin' Up!!!

I think you'll find that I'm going to be around a lot more. My lack of creativity has taken it's toll and it's time to revisit the aspects of me that i've put on a shelf for various reasons.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you really soon!!!!

I Promise.....and I am a Woman of my word!

Impression Obsession-Inspired by a Quote

“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”

I created this serene scene with a number of Dies from Impression Obsession

I sponged the Birch Trees with a little bit of Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink to give them additional dimension. For the Deer, I cut two of each image in shades of brown to create a shadow.
To finish off the snowy winter scene, I addd lots of snow with my Signo White Gel Pen. I added some glitter to the top of my torn snowbank for added sparkle!

EXCITING NEWS!!!!

We have a new addition to our Design Team!

Happy Holidays with IO Stamps

Can you believe that we're already a week into November? It seems like I just celebrated my Birthday a couple weeks ago, when in actuality, it's been almost six weeks.....that means only 46 weeks until I'm 50!!!  and almost that many shopping days until Christmas.

Have any of you got a head start on Christmas? If so, you are WAY more organized than me!!! I vowed to have my Christmas Cards started by now and quite honestly, I have to admit that I haven't even started!!! I KNOW...bad eh? Thank goodness I'm not a Shoemaker or poor Jon would be freezing his big ole tootsies off!!!

I have to admit I haven't been stamping much at all. I have a couple of other focuses that seem to be dominating my leisure time at the moment, but I have a feeling that my creative mojo is sparking up again and I'm in the mood to get all inky!!!

This weeks challenge at IO Stamps is a Holiday Theme

Create Christmas Cards, Gifts and Tags!!!

I had the opportunity to play with my friend Kim a few weeks ago. We are both into trying new techniques. This one is stamping on black with craft ink and colouring over with Derwent Pencils. It was actually quite an easy technique

Quick Instructions

1. Stamp your image with a white pigment ink
2. Dry with the heat gun until it is set
3. Choose a couple of complimentary colours for the image and so that you can shade for depth

Easy Peasy!!!

I added a gold leaf pen trim and some stickles to make the holly Dewy

This  Watercolour Holly worked perfectly for this technique

Be sure to head over to the IO Blog to get all the details for the challenge and play along to win some Rubbah Bucks!!!

Also click on the links on my sidebar to see the rest of the DT creations! I KNOW they have something spectacular for you~~~

Biker Babe!

Hi! Hope you've all had a great week!

Mine has been super busy!

I've launched a new clothing Business and it's been taking up a wee bit of my time, but i'm having great fun with it!

I wanted to share another fun purse design with youl

This one is called Biker Babe

This was one of the most imaginative creations i've worked on in a long time!

To create the look of the "Leather" I wet down black cardstock, scrunched it up into a tiny little ball

and VERY CAREFULLY unfolded it.

Then I baked it in the oven at 250 degrees for about 5 minutes to dry it out.

I then took a metallic gold inkpad and rubbed gently over the paper to accent the high points on the paper. I added some metal accents from Making Memories and some Metal Stick on Brads from Close to my Heart.

I had a couple of clothing tags that I had hanging around, so I cut the emblem out from them.

I took the Chipboard Wings and embossed them with silver embossing powder and inked the edges in Black to give them a distressed look.

This was actually an incredibly easy design to complete and i'm totally pleased with the way it turned out!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Be sure to check out all the fun new designs on the Z Becky Brown Site!

News! I'm a Ziva!

Hot off the Press!

I've been keeping this news under my cap for quite awhile!

I'm excited to announce that I'm a Ziva!!!

What is a Ziva you ask?

A "Ziva" is kinda like a Diva.....a Ziva Diva Designer for

What is Z Becky Brown?

Follow the Link above to see more, but Z Becky Brown is a fabulous Handbag Company

The handbags are essentially clear acrylic, however you have an option of finishes to choose from with regard to lids and hardware! Sooo Pretty!

The Beauty is that you get to design your purse to match clothing, theme, your personality......

The Sky is the Limit!

I created this purse inspired by a Teacher Theme.

I had a retired Scrapbook Kit from CTMH that included Canvas Stickers

Other than inking the edges of the canvas Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, I only had to cut the paper to cover the templates that you can purchase to accompany the Purses!

Easy Peasy and cute too I think!!!

There is a fabulous Designer Gallery on the site, which is a go to for inspirations

Such a fun project and so easy!

Happy Creating!

Missing in Action Again, But Scrappin~

It's been awhile since I posted. I've just found myself busy with events, self improvement and new Business  Ventures~~~

This past weekend, I was in Parkhill with my Besties at our annual Jactopia Weekend

Sadly, my photo's didn't turn out the best, but you can see them on my Facebook in my IOS uploads Album. I LOVE spending time with my girls. Laura and I ventured up Thursday evening and returned late Sunday afternoon. A whirlwind weekend for sure.

One thing I love about our friendships is that over time and distance our love for each other is solid. We may not speak for days, weeks or even months, but when we get together, it's as if we've never been apart~~~ This year, Jacqui's new niece Daphne joined us. The youngest Jactopian ever~~~ Sooo Sweet~~~ The weekend goes by way too fast, but before you know it, April will be here and we'll all be hanging out at my house for Victopia~~~

I created this Scrapbook Page over the weekend. I just LOVE this picture of My Jonathon and little Sydney~~~

I created the page using the Layout from this Months Sketch Challenge over at The Paper Loft

Be sure to play along in the challenge for a chance to win a Gift Certificate for soe of their amazing Paper. For my layout, I used Papers and Cardstock Elements from the Funkysaurus Collection

The Fun  Grunge Circle Stamp in behind the Button as well as the Sentiment is from Impression Obsession. Additional Supplies include Buttons, Linen Thread and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink for Sponging~~~

Hope to be back a little sooner with some more projects~

Happy Stamping~

Colours of Fall-Impression Obsession Challenge

So sorry for the late post!!! Internet was down for a bit and then I had a wee bit of trouble with Blogger. All is good in the world now....but I do realize that it's almost Noon~ Oh boy~ Where DID this morning go?

So here it is...my fall colours card~

I created the background when I was in Texas in the Spring using a Home made Gelatin Plate. So much fun ~ I knew that this was the perfect background for this challenge

I also had to use one of my FAVOURITE stamps to date {That's because I am such an Autumn Girl~)

I LOVE Kallani's Graphics and approaches to sentiments~ Did you know she has 696 stamps listed on the Impression Obsession Site?

I really like the way the leaves turned out as well.

I started by cutting the Die Cut Leaves from the Leaves Die Cut Set
Then I splattered them with some Ink Spray to add dimension.

I did this by removing the lid of the Ink Spray (Stephanie Barnard Ink Spray Chocolate)
and just tapping on the "straw"-you know, the part that sucks the ink into the sprayer?? perhaps its a tube or a thingamajig, but whatever it happens to be, that's what you do with it.

I added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sand, which gives the leaves a wet appearance. I didn't expect them to turn out so darned pretty but they did~~~

Make sure you play the challenge for a chance to win a 25 dollar gift certificate for the online store.

There are a few new changes to the challenge-one good thing is that they are going to extend it for a period of two weeks!!! Be sure to check out the

for all the details and to get direct link to the IO girls blogs~

Happy Stamping~

Mixed Media Fun-Texturize it!

I had a blast last weekend at Scrappin' Great Deals! It was great to see some friends that I haven't seen since last time and to meet new friends!!! I also had a wonderful time with Diva Kim!

We had a chance to play on Saturday night! I've just been delving into Art Journalling and Kim has shown me lots of fun techniques

Saturday night we played with Dreamweaver Embossing Paste.  It is extra delicious when you add glitter on top before it dries!!!!

I used this Beautiful Tree Stencil from Hero Arts-It's called Elegant Pine

HOw gorgeous is that!!!

You MUST check out the Mixed Media Class with Kim and Lori on Friday Night!

The link for the class is HERE

I have a sneaking suspicion that Embossing Paste just might be on the Menu for Tomorrow night!!!!

Happy Creating!

I had a chance to hop today and WOWSER! This TEAM ROCKS-BIG TIME!!!

If you've been hopping, you've probably ventured here from Laura's Blog

The New IO Products that I used

I coloured the Hat with my Touch Markers

Here's the colour Map

Added some Glitter, Stickles and Black Ultrafine Flowersoft to make a "Furry Spider"

Why was it a great ending to a not so very good bad day?

Well, it was a not so very good bad day!

But I have to say what keeps me chuggin' along is that it could ALWAYS be worse

What was the great ending?

Well I have to confess that I did not have a card completed at 9:45 last night

I was freakin' and peakin' a little 'cause I was stressed and wondering what I should do.

I had this fun hat coloured already

Soooo I have to tell you that I worked this card up in under 10 minutes

YEP.... a quickie......a day of quickies!!!

This proves that "quickies" can be pretty darn good!!!

I LOVE the way this sweet little card turned out

Especially on this fun Paper from The Paper Loft

and I hope that you do as well

Be sure to leave comments, to head to the IO blog for rules and to start the hop unless you've already been there, done that!!!

For this card I used a couple of the New Dies

I also used a Whack 'O Stamps!!!
Hmmm perhaps I should have saved the previous phrase for a St. Patty's Day Card....Ohhhh I crack me up!!! But this Little Snowman looks a tad Leprechaun "ish" to me....or it's just that it's been a Long Day and I'm delirious again!!!!

Sooo for the Stamps:

Spooky!!! Impression Obsession Die Hop!

I can't BELIEVE that Summers over! The Kiddies are back to school today and I felt a bit of a chill in the air today.....well a big chill in some parts of Kingston, but that's another story!

The next three days is going to be fun fun fun!!!!

Impression Obsession is having a Die Hop to showcase all of the fun new dies they just released this summer!!!

If you've been hopping already, you've just arrived from the super talented Laura Fulcher's Blog

If you haven't been hopping, Head on over to the Impression Obsession Blog to get started!

You can also get all the details and rules for the hop there

Be sure to leave a comment as one lucky winner who comments on all the blogs will win their choice of 3 dies each day! How cool is that......THREE DIE SETS!!!!

That's just what I used to create this Spooky Halloween Confection!!!!

Bare Tree Die. Yep I lurve the Bare Nekkid Tree Die!!!

The Sentiment Hails from the Sentiments 2 set, which is currently out of stock, but I'm sure it will be back in soon!!!

And for my card, I used the Sponge and Spritz Technique.

Essentially, you sponge all the colours that you want in the background onto light coloured cardstock. Once you've done that, you just take a spray bottle and give it a little spritz. I used a circle punch to mask out the moon and then inked the yellow in after. I overlapped it onto the skyline a bit to give the Halo look (well actually, I didn't really, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!).

I used a little glitter on the ghosts and windows to give a little zip and zing and some black stickles on the bats wings for some additional dimension!

Hope you love the hop and come back tomorrow to visit again!

Have a wonderful day!
