New Digi Papers from Flower Soft~ As sweet as candy!

Yesterday, on the Flower Soft Blog, Jacque created a beautiful sample showcasing one of the new digital papers matching the Moments In Time Stamps and Toppers. Today, I have a sneak peek of one of the other digi papers that match the Just for you stamp and additionally work very well with various images, including this sweet image.

Here's a close up of the digi paper! So soft and pretty and the perfect scale for cardmaking! I printed my paper on a heavier weight paper that has a little bit of linen texture through it. I was also able to open the digi file in photo shop and resize the file to print just the amount I needed for the card!.

I used Shamrock Green Flower Soft to create the Grass.

"Be sure and check out our new Flower Soft TV { www.flower-soft.tv } beginning June 7th!"

We are also going to be giving away blog candy specific to this launch. By signing up for the new Flower Soft TV site they will be entered for a chance to win one of every Flower Soft product featured in the first Flower Soft TV show. This is over $100 in product goods. The winner will be announce on the Flower Soft blog and Flower Soft TV site when the show launches.

Bildmalarna now available at Paper Romance!

Amy's got some Bilde's in stock! They are just about the cutest stamps I've ever seen!!! This is Mimo Tree. I coloured Mimo in Copics, opting for an orange t-shirt which matches the wee bit of stray DP I had kicking around in a drawer. The embossing folder is from Quick Cutz, Ribbon from Michaels and the little roses from a cool online store in Great Britain and of course I can't remember the name at the moment and I'm thinking I should get headed for work soon!

Head on over to Paper Romance to see all the sweet Bilmilarna stamps that Amy has, in addition to some other great products including High Hopes, Popcorn Bear, Cute Companions and Your Next Stamp.

I wanted to share some more photo's with you from the weekend. These pictures were taken at Dusk on the Lake. There is many small islands in the lake and on this particular one, there are several ( I think we counted 10) Great Blue Heron Nests!!! What majestic birds they are!!! I can't wait to watch and see the babies learn to fly over the summer.

This picture makes me think of Pterodactyl........hmmmm am I spelling that right?

They look so different when they have their necks tucked down

A view of the Island

I wish I had a longer lens ,but this is the picture that I captured that has the most clarity

Stampotique Designers Challenge # 4 The Colour Purple

This week, Kim Prince has challenged us to create a card using the colour purple as the main colour. You can use any shade or tone of purple, hopefully this will make it a bit easier on those who don't use a lot of purple on their projects. Please remember, this week's challenge is a Stampotique Originals only week! So get out your stamps and play with us! You could win free rubber from Stampotique!

I used Gooseneck or my creation. I coloured her with Copics adding a wee bit of Spica pen to hem of her skirt for a little glitter. The polka dotted background around her is created by using the copic colours in the image to create a series of different sized dots. The amount of pressure that you put on the marker tip, will determine the size of the dot that you create.

The DP is from DCWV Fairy Tale Stack which is a little dated, but I have seen it around still in larger stores. The sentiment; "I hope we're never too old for ice cream and fancy dresses" is also available in the online store. Ribbons and Pearls are misc~!

Make sure that you visit the Designers' Challenge blog for details and to see the Beautiful DT creations

I wanted to share a few photographs from this past weekend. In Canada we celebrate Victoria Day in memory of Queen Victoria. Although Canada gained it's independence from the Monarchy years ago, have ties to Great Britain and the English Commonwealth. I love having the holiday weekend and often try to pass it off as "my" weekend since my full name is Victoria

The {Stamps} of Life Designer Challenge-Getting Punchy

Today our Challenge was to use punches on our cards! I used my Marvy Scalloped Ovals to punch out around my main image, as well as my cropadile to punch tiny holes around my larger punched oval.

The Stamps I used for my card are from The {Stamps} of Life and include Thanks2You and Tinyand2cute. I used an embossing folder from Quickkutz that matches the stamp set.......I wanted to keep this card very neutral as it is a sympathy card

If you'd like to play along, please be sure to add the keyword TSOLDT11 when you add it to the Stamps of Life Gallery~!

Kraftin' Kimmies Saturday Challenge #30 How Charming

This week, our Krafty Girl Tara has challenged us to use a charm on our creation! Easy Peasy ....... I have tons and tons of charms that I never think to use, so thanks sweet Tara for having me dig them out! For my Krafty Creation today I used Mae.................she reminds me of Mrs Howell off Gilligan's Island! I coloured her with Copics and sponged some Tim Holtz Broken China ink around the edges! I used a wee bit of Flower Soft Ultra Fine Toffee to make some Sand

The DP is from Scenic Route and the Ribbon I think was from DCWV, but it's older than dirt, so I can't quite remember!

Make sure you check out Kraftin' Kimmies Blog to get all the deets on how to play the challenge. If you'd like to see what prize is up for grabs this week, hop on over to Tara's blog and while you're at it, check out the rest of my Krafty Chickie's Creations!!!!

C4C # 38 It's a Sketch

Hi everyone,

It is challenge time again! Sponsored by................................

This week our challenge is a sketch challenge. The sketch was created by our hostess for this week Cindy Haffner.
If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C38. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card, I used the Magic of Pretend, available at the Stamping Boutique. I coloured her with Copics. Basic Grey's combination of Kioshi Paper worked perfectly with the colours in my image. The little Rhinestones are available at Paper Romance

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

OCLDT #14

Kay, so please don't tell me I've completely lost my mind! I've been frantically working today (Thurs) to complete and preschedule all my posts for this weekend as i'm taking off for the weekend early tomorrow afternoon.......... it's never good to rush

I am Hoping that my card remotely resembles the sketch for OCL this week............It did in my mind anyway! Lol.............when I went to have a closer look at the sketch, I realized that I cleared all my cookies of the net and couldn't remember my password for the DT forum.......anyway I THINK this is what the sketch looks like! To be sure........head on over to the LOUNGE to take a peeky and learn what you have to do to play!

In my rush, I just couldn't seem to get the colour of my photograph to capture the real colour of the card........ In real life, it's quite pretty, but here, I'm afraid, a little garish!!! lol

The sand dollar on the card is very very special to me. A couple of years ago, I headed to a stamping retreat in Cape Cod with a bunch of ladies that I had only met online. It was a WONDERFUL weekend hosted by Marilyn Sanclemente, Rose, Lyn, Stephanie......oh my gosh, I can't remember everyone's name, but what a wonderful group of women. Anyway, we went hunting for sand dollars and I was able to bring a few home............

The image is a new release from OCL called Treasured friend........what a pretty pretty stamp. In addition, I used some 24k Sparkly Fluff to add some dimension to the sand!

If you're celebrating Victoria Day, have a wonderful long weekend!

Cheery Garden

The sun is shining, the air warm......birds are building their nests and the earth is softening so that our gardens can be tended to. I'm not much of a Gardener, but my Grandmother was. She had a HUGE vegetable garden; beets, beans, carrots, swish chard, radish..........yummy! She lovingly tended her plants in the hot sun in order to bring fresh food to the table! She gave up her vegetable garden around the age of 80 when it became too difficult to manage, however she continued to keep beautiful flower gardens up until she passed away. I miss her a lot and this card made me think of her. This image is from The In the Garden Cute Companions Set available at Paper Romance

I coloured the image in copics and I couldn't resist using just a touch of Sweet Pea Flower Soft
to give some added dimension. The yummy flower and fuzzy brad are also available at Paper Romance. DP is from American Crafts

Crazy4Challenge#37 It's in the Pocket!

This week our Fabulous Frances has challentd us to create a card that has some form of a pocket on it. Soooo to make it REALLY easy, I just created a Pocket Card. You can find the template to make one on Splitcoaststampers! Our Sponsor for the next two weeks is the Stamping Boutique, which is a digital stamp company.

This image is called Hidden. I coloured her with Copics and then used a nestie to cut out and sponge. The Designer Paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi line. The Beautiful Crocheted flower was made by my very talented Girlfriend Andreanne. I added lots of glitter to this image to enhance its whimsy! Such a pretty image.

I hope that you'll play along with us this week! For all the details, follow the link on my sidebar to the C4C blog to get all the details. Don't forget to show my fellow crazies some love! They're most deserving!

Hugs,
