Kraftin' Kimmie's SPPOOOOOOOOKY Sneak Peeks!

I am SOOOOO excited to share the first sneak peek from Kraftin' Kimmies Spooktacular August Release!!!! Oh my word, I know that every month I say the sets are my fave, but these are absolutely to DIE for!!! Ghosts and Goblins, Trick or Treaters.......and then Miles and Maisie! You're going to be shivering when you see what Kimmie and the DT have in store for you this week!!!!

I love this Fred and Ginger Image! Coupled with Kimmie's Spooky Halloween Sentiment, it makes a perfect Halloween card and could even be an "i'm swooning for you" type of card. All these images will be available on Sunday!

Don't forget the Krafty Blog Hop! Kimmie has some fabulous guest Kraftie's to play along this week with the peeks and hop and of course you can trick or treat for a chance to win some blog candy!!!

I coloured the image with Copics. Just a little note about creating Black images. I NEVER NEVER NEVER use black......... It seems flat and doesn't allow you to get much contrast. I use the C series of Gray...........starting with 1 and usually finishing with 7 or 8. Then for the darkest parts, I used Slate, which is in the BV Family! The Designer Paper is from Basic Grey and I embossed the sentiment on black and punched it out with a SU punch!

Be sure to check the links on the sidebar to see the super talented Krafty Girl Peeks! I KNOW you won't be disappointed!!! One can never get enough sweets!!!

See you tomorrow with more Peeks!!!!

For my Krafty Creation today I used Mae.................she reminds me of Mrs Howell off Gilligan's Island! I coloured her with Copics and sponged some Tim Holtz Broken China ink around the edges! I used a wee bit of Flower Soft Ultra Fine Toffee to make some Sand

The DP is from Scenic Route and the Ribbon I think was from DCWV, but it's older than dirt, so I can't quite remember!

Long story short all is good and the threat of a second surgery was quelled just before we came home. So just a quick post and I'm off to bed.

Kraftin' Kimmie's November Release Previews...Oh I LOVE Oliver!

Sweet Sweet Sweet Oliver is one of the latest fabby stamps that Kimmie is releasing this Sunday, November 1st~! Oliver also comes with this awesome sentiment stamp!

I was trying to get this card together fairly quickly, so there isn't the degree of depth that I would like with this image, I am thinking some more highlights might have been in order.
I coloured Oliver with Copics. I used Chunky Glitter on his Hat which sparkles quite brilliantly in real life.

The card base is a Primary Red and the DP is from Imaginisce. The brad is a little Crate Paper Bling Bling!

The Super talented Michelle Boyer joins us this month with some incredible sneak peeks and of course you can see what the Krafty Girls have created for you by following the links on my sidebar!!!!

These stamps are truly yummalicious!!!!

Happy Stamping!

Copics Colour Challenge 37 and a Sneak Peek from Kraftin' Kimmie's November Release

My Goodness time is flying by WAY too fast! Does anyone else feel like it was just yesterday that they were enjoying the Brilliant Summer Sunsets and the early Sunrise? This morning when I got up around 6 a.m. and sauntered outside to gauge the temperature, it was DARK!! ACKKKKK!!!! Christmas is going to be here before we know it!!!

I've had a really really busy week. I'm teaching a Christmas Card class tonight and I've been prepping for a few days. I took a year long hiatus from teaching to focus on design, but I find that I miss having classes. I love to share what I've learned and to see the excited look on happy faces when they've learned something new, or accomplished a new technique with a level of ease! So I'm really really looking forward to this evening!

This week Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps is hosting a colour challenge over at the Copics Colour Challenge Blog. Head on over there to get the Scoop!

The colours for this week were R20, YG06 and E33. I didn't have R20, so I substituted for the closest colour I had in the Red family, R17. In addition, I used Eggshell for her Petticoat and eE51 as a flesh tone. What do you think of Piper? I love her Saucy little face and her Yummy Cup of Cocoa. Although I haven't used the stamp in this post, Piper comes with the cutest little inchie Cocoa cup! The Blue DP is from imaginisce, the Snowflake Pattern is the reverse side of this double sided paper. The sentiment is also a new release from Kimmie for November.

Official Sneak Peeks for Kraftin' Kimmie's November Release start tomorrow, but I'm sure if you take a peek at the Krafty Girls Blogs, you'll see some more new eye candy!

Happy Stamping!

Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps~Maxwell!

I Love toasted Marshmallows! To me, toasting the perfect marshmallow is an art! There is a certain technique that one has to undertake to get the perfect marshmallow. The fire has to be just right, not too many flames, waiting patiently until the coals are plentiful and red hot!

Then you have to take the Marshmallow and place it just on the right spot on the stick and turn it continuously until it reaches a puff golden brown.

Children just don't have patience for this process.........well Jonathon didn't any way when he was little. He'd want to get toasting quite quickly after the fire was lit. I'd humour him and let him toast a few.......me waiting patiently for the fire to die down.

I remember once waiting in anticipation to make my perfect marshmallow. Jonathon was about four years old and we had rented a cottage. A nice warm starry evening.......clear and perfect for a campfire. The fire was blazing, Jon was toasting, I was waiting patiently..........did I mention how much I love toasted marshmallows?

Just as the fire died down and the coals so invitingly perfect, my stick loaded, my mouth watering in anticipation..............SPLASH!!!! A big bucket of water floods the fire........the steam from the coals rise to a menacing grey!

A little voice................" I'm tired, fire's out mommy, let's go to bed!"

My quest for the perfect marshmallow aborted............................but alas, do you know that you can make the closest thing to a perfect marshmallow on a fork on the stove??? Funny how something can evoke a memory!

So Maxwell, a new image from Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps will be released this Monday! I like Maxwell, especially because he likes Marshmallows too!

I coloured Max with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol adding grass with fine lines. A little Liquid Applique makes for a toasty Marshmallow.....not the perfect marshmallow, but Maxwell isn't as fussy as I.......................

Want to meet Kimmie and Crissy (the creator of Maxwell) me and some of the other Design Team Girls? Head on over to Scrappin' Great Deals you'll get the deets there! I am just so excited to be spending some time with them this afternoon!

And just ONE more sleep and Maxwell and all the rest of Kimmie's Scrumptious Stamps will be available to you!

Happy Stamping!

Introducing Lillith! A Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak!

Little Miss Mischief! That's what I see, when I look at sweet Lillith! It's almost as if she's saying "c'mon over here, I dare ya!" Another great image that Kimmie will be launching on Monday!

This image is illustrated by Annie Rodrigue. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her style!

Lillith looks so pretty in pink..........still I'm wondering what she's up to! I coloured Lillith with my prismacolour pencils, using some diamond glaze on the frogs for effect. The DP is from K&Co, Cardstock Olive Green, Sky Blue and Hot Pink!! All Kimmies new stamps will be available on Monday.
It's world cardmaking day today and I am excited to be with my best friend forever, Jacqui! She's having a card class at her house today and I'll work along with her ladies on my own stuff. I arrived after a long trip last night in the rain................had a little break along the way and a visit with Emily at Bella, where I picked up the new Copic Marker Pastel colours.........lol! Something to play with today. Because it was really rainy, the drive that I can complete in under five hours, took about an extra 45 minutes and so as I was "relaxing" on Jax's couch as she was prepping for her class, I nodded off! So today, we'll have lots of time to visit.
I am totally excited to meet Kimmie and a big bunch of her Krafty Girls tomorrow. Hope to get lot's of pics to share!
Don't forget to check out the DT's previews........they're simply scrumptious! In addition to the DT, we have a special Guest, Michelle Boyer who also has some wonderful creations for you!
Happy Stamping!

Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps Revealed!!!!

Today's the day you finally get to see what Kimmie and her Krafty Girls have been teasing you about for the last few weeks!!! Can you believe it? Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps will be available to you on Monday!!! This sweet image is Daisy Doodle! Daisy was created by on of Kimmie's very talented Illustrator's Crissy Armstrong. Each of Crissy's Imaged will come with a coordinating sentiment stamp (not the stamp I have pictured on my sample)

I coloured this image in with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol adding some texture to the grass with white gel and a souffle pen. The DP was a scrap that I had in my bin, so of course no name again! lol! I sponged around the image using a pigment ink and sponge. Prism equivelant to cardstock would be Sunflowers Medium. Paper Flowers are from CTMH, buttons and ribbon misc.
Check out the sidebar to see the Fabby Krafty Girls Samples!!! I've had a little peek and they are FABULOUS Dahlin'!
