Since I've copied her post ( I just had surgery yesterday and although I am recuperating well, I am tired and so you can read her words 'cause she layed out some fabby text! ) I am currently a guest designer for Paper Romance and I am loving it! Not only do I get to play with some of the sweetest and hottest images out there BUT I also get to hang out with some of the coolest stamping ladies around! I want to give my personal shout out to some new guest designers whose work I have admired for a long time- Frances aka Stamp Owl and Melanie Holtz. Already I am drooling over their creations as I do the other Paper Romancer's cards.

How about a Tea Party under the summer sun in the freshly mowed grass?? I remember entertaining my teddies and dollies as a little girl. I had the sweetest miniature tea set when I was a child and coupled with my easy bake oven, I would host the most smashing tea parties! I always liked when my guest were the non human kind which meant more sweets for me!!!!

Mimosa is having a Tea Party of her own. This stamp is one of several Bildmalarna Stamps that Amy is now carrying in her shop!


I coloured my image with Copics and added some silver gel pen .........The grass is created with Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Sage Green

Amy's got some Bilde's in stock! They are just about the cutest stamps I've ever seen!!! This is Mimo Tree. I coloured Mimo in Copics, opting for an orange t-shirt which matches the wee bit of stray DP I had kicking around in a drawer. The embossing folder is from Quick Cutz, Ribbon from Michaels and the little roses from a cool online store in Great Britain and of course I can't remember the name at the moment and I'm thinking I should get headed for work soon!

I wanted to share some more photo's with you from the weekend. These pictures were taken at Dusk on the Lake. There is many small islands in the lake and on this particular one, there are several ( I think we counted 10) Great Blue Heron Nests!!! What majestic birds they are!!! I can't wait to watch and see the babies learn to fly over the summer.

This picture makes me think of Pterodactyl........hmmmm am I spelling that right?

Crazy4Challenges #34

We are doing a different challenge this week. The CRAZY girls have made cards this week using WHATEVER they wanted!!! There were no rules for us.........but for you....there are rules!! LOL!! Your challenge is to choose one of the CRAZY girls cards posted here today and CASE it! That's easy huh?!? You can CASE the layout, theme, colors or the whole card!!! Whatever works for you!


For my card, I used Rainy Day Fhiona. The paper is Basic Grey and the Base Cardstock is Deep Purple.

Flower Soft Challenge

Today’s Flower Soft challenge is to do your own thing! So, I challenged myself to use Flower Soft more than one time on my card! This image is from the Cute Companions In the Garden Summer Stories Stamp Set. You can find this awesome set at Paper Romance




I coloured the image with Copics and then I went to town with my Flower Soft! On this image I used Polar White for the tail; in the grass I used Spring
and in the wheelbarrow, Fuschia. The sentiment is an old stamp I had around here, not sure of the Company. Flowers by Prima and Button and Pearls misc.

On Mondays, I drag my butt, but Dwight Doesn't!!

In my many years of living, I still haven't solved the mystery of why weekends pass SO much faster than weekdays! It seems it was JUST Friday and I was thinking about all that I was going to accomplish this weekend and BOOM, now it's Monday Morning and about the time you are reading this post, I'll be just dragging my bottom out of the shower and thinking about what to wear to work!

Dwight is NOT like me...........every day to Dwight is a weekend! I suppose if I was perched on a toadstool blowing bubbles, I wouldn't care what day it was either! Isn't he the cutest? Dwight is reminding me to smile and remember there are worse things than Mondays, 'cause if not for Mondays, there'd be no Fridays!!!! So smile this fine Monday Morning!

I used a wee bit of Crystal Effects on his Bubbles to make them look a little more realistic!

Got REALLY ambitious and decorated the inside of the card!
