Christmas Stamping All Year Long~ Challenge #46

This week we bring you a colour challenge!!!! The team was challenged to use Violet, Vanilla and Gold on their card. This image from Stamp N and Scrap N Plus was perfect for embossing!

I embossed the image in gold, cut out with my Nesties Labels Ten and sponged some eggplant ink around the edges. I added some gold dew drops to the main image. I'm not really impressed how the photo turned out. It is very rich and elegant in real life.

I embossed the Eggplant background with the Damask Cuttlebug Template and cut a Vanilla Border with an EK Success Border Punch. That's about all there is to this card.

Hope that you'll play along with us! Visit the links on my sidebar to see what the creative crafters have come up with this week and head over to the Christmas Stamping Blog to link up your projects!

Kraftin Kimmie's April Release Previews Day One

Today marks the first day of Peeks for Kraftin' Kimmie's April Release. Bart and his lady, Princess Petunia are very much in love as you can see! He professes his love for her on a daily basis and I am sure that he makes her breakfast and serenades her as she strolls through her Beautiful Gardens!

Wait until you see all the gorgeous cards this month from our super talented Krafty Girls............I am sure you can tell that the theme for this months Annie images is Medival...........and dont' forget to check the peeks right through Sunday, when we have our Ginormous Krafty Girl Blog hop!

The Images that I used for my card today are Bart and Princess Petunia! They'll be available for purchase on Sunday! I used some DP from the BG Green at Heart Line with a Tangerine Cardstock Base. As you can see, the layout is fairly simple, considering the image takes up most of the 6x6 card. I freehanded the Stone Platform, using warm shades of grey to make the stone work. A little Flower Soft in Polar Ice and Spring mix adds some additional dimension along with a prima flower and Basic Grey Brad.

Don't forget to hit the links on my sidebar to visit all the Krafty Girls today! You won't be disappointed!

Flower Soft Blog Hop! Blog Candy~!

It's time for another Flower Soft blog hop. This month, the Flower Soft Team was challenged to use the Moments in Time Toppers and/or Stamps on their project. Since I'm new to the Team and am anxiously awaiting my starter kit, I don't have a Moments in Time creation to show you! But I do have some Flower Soft and wanted to show you how I used it this week!

If you've been hopping already, you will have arrived from Rose Ann Reynolds Blog. If you haven't started hopping yet, the hop begins at Deb Saaranen's Blog. Be sure and check out all of the beautiful creations and leave a comment here on my blog to be entered in this months blog candy give-away. You can win some pretty Moments In Time Toppers: Girls Flowers & Boys Hobbies along with Ultra Fine Sage & Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft. You also need to sign up to follow the Flower Soft blog for this one. We will announce a winner on May 5th on the Flower Soft Blog.

I coloured this Sweet Flower Pot Girl from Stampotique Originals in Copics of course and got to play with my new Octagon Nestabilities! I sponged some Turquoise coloured ink around the image and added some Autumn Mix flower soft to the middle of the flowers on the image, at the bottom of the pot and on a button on the middle of the flower. The Autumn Mix matched perfectly with the Orange DP from the Basic Grey Green at Heart line. I also Paper Pieced her shirt with the orange DP. The sentiment, just sitting here thinking of you is also from Stampotique

I am really enjoying using the Flower Soft products to enhance my stamping and add pretty dimension! I hope you enjoy the fabulous designs that the Flower Soft Team have in store for you today!

Hop into Spring! Amy's Paper Romance Blog Hop!

If you are celebrating Easter this year, I hope you enjoyed your day yesterday. And if you don't celebrate Easter, I still hope you enjoyed your day! We had the BEST weather this weekend. I spent most of the weekend in my Bare Feet and Coatless! What a great feeling to feel the warm sun on your skin and drink in the smells of spring!

We started the day with an Egg Hunt yesterday! Even though the house is full of teenagers, they seem to forget their need to act mature and you could almost catch that glimpse of innocence again as they hunted for the eggs! We had a lot of fun hiding them, although I have to say at 7:00 a.m. (yes, there's an advantage to hiding eggs outdoors for teens........they don't get up so early, so we were able to sleep in a bit!).

With the weather forecasting temperatures in the mid 20's (c) , early in the week my mother and I decided to stray from the traditional Eater fare and go for a BBQ! We had Yummy Burgers, Dogs and Salads and it almost was reminiscent of a Canada Day Celebration as the boys ate outside. We enjoyed a nature walk in the Conservation area and tossing the football around the yard. As I write this post this morning, the day looks a little gray and cooler, but I know that summer is just around the corner!

Amy's doing some Spring Cleaning over at Paper Romance and is passing on
some sweet deals to you and we're having a blog hop to celebrate! Make sure you visit all the
DT's Blogs and leave some comments. One random winner participating in the Hop ( the winner could be from any of the blogs!) will win a $20.00 Gift Certificate to Paper Romance.

My Card today is made with the Cute Companions Celebration Set. This set comes in a 6x6 sheet of unmounted rubber and is full of the cutest images. They are just a nice size and easy to colour. Cupcakes, Two Mice, Candles, a cute cupcake, tiny balloon and Strawberry and more! The one thing I really like about this set is that it has the numbers 1-9 so that you can customize your card to the age of the receiver!

I used a denimy blue cardstock as my base. The DP is from the Debbie Mumm Nursery collection. I coloured with Copics (Sand, e-33 and Leather e-35, make the chocolate icing!) I got to play with one of my new nesties (labels ten). I just cut the bottom off as I didn't want the entire oval shape. Some Matching Denim Grograin and a Prima Flower Finishes the card off quite nicely I think!

If you've already been hopping, you should have arrived from Lori's Blog and can now finish the Hop at Amy's Blog and Store to see all the new stamps and accessories she has in stock
and if you're just starting out here and want to start at the top of the hop, be sure to visit Cindy!

Kraftin' Kimmie's Saturday Challenge #23

Krafty Girl Jeanne has challenged us to bring out our Die Cutters and Punches and get creating! I had a lot of fun colouring Ophelia. Isn't she a beautiful image? Of course she was coloured with Copics and I used some fine glitter on her wings.

Using Punches from Martha Stewart and SU! I created a large border and a scalloped edge to the lighter cardstock, which I embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder. I used a beautiful crocheted flower, which was made by my good friend Andreanne. They are so pretty that I've been hoarding them, but this colour was perfect for my card!

Want to play along with the challenge and win the image that Jeanne is featuring today? Just make a creation with any Kraftin' Kimmie image and link it to Kraftin' Kimmie Blog.
