Happy Holidays with IO Stamps

Can you believe that we're already a week into November? It seems like I just celebrated my Birthday a couple weeks ago, when in actuality, it's been almost six weeks.....that means only 46 weeks until I'm 50!!!  and almost that many shopping days until Christmas.

Have any of you got a head start on Christmas? If so, you are WAY more organized than me!!! I vowed to have my Christmas Cards started by now and quite honestly, I have to admit that I haven't even started!!! I KNOW...bad eh? Thank goodness I'm not a Shoemaker or poor Jon would be freezing his big ole tootsies off!!!

I have to admit I haven't been stamping much at all. I have a couple of other focuses that seem to be dominating my leisure time at the moment, but I have a feeling that my creative mojo is sparking up again and I'm in the mood to get all inky!!!

This weeks challenge at IO Stamps is a Holiday Theme

Create Christmas Cards, Gifts and Tags!!!

I had the opportunity to play with my friend Kim a few weeks ago. We are both into trying new techniques. This one is stamping on black with craft ink and colouring over with Derwent Pencils. It was actually quite an easy technique

Quick Instructions

1. Stamp your image with a white pigment ink
2. Dry with the heat gun until it is set
3. Choose a couple of complimentary colours for the image and so that you can shade for depth

Easy Peasy!!!

I added a gold leaf pen trim and some stickles to make the holly Dewy

This  Watercolour Holly worked perfectly for this technique

Be sure to head over to the IO Blog to get all the details for the challenge and play along to win some Rubbah Bucks!!!

Also click on the links on my sidebar to see the rest of the DT creations! I KNOW they have something spectacular for you~~~

Happy Stamping!
