Pink Cat Thursday.....Rubber and Digi Release!

This week, Melissa has a Fabulous Rubber Release happening over at Pink Cat Studio.....this sweet Lily Bee is one of the new images, also available in digi!

Look at the other sweet images that are available as well. Some of the images, including the Monkey and the Giraffe, Sick Billy and Lily (note, each rubber stamp set comes with a sweet pet!) and the robot, were previously only available in Rubber.

I used some K& Co Dp for my background for Lily Bee. Other than that, the design is pretty simplistic! Here's a Billy Card that I created for the Digi Release.

On a bit of a bitter sweet note, this will be my last week as a designer for Pink Cat Studio! I want to take the time to send a big Thank you out to Melissa for having me on her Team for the past year and a bit! I've truly loved working with her sweet and fun images and you will still see some of them posted here from time to time.

The truth is, I have a few things in the works and had to rearrange my commitments to allow my self the time to participate in other ventures!!! I know that I will miss Melissa and the Team dearly, but am looking forward to what lies ahead!

Hop on over to the Pink Cat Site to get a glimpse of this fabulous release!

Happy Stamping!

Pink Cat Studio Release Sneak Peek!!! Digis and RUBBER and a Contest, Oh MY!

This sweet little Valentine Kitty is a new Digital image being release tomorrow at Pink Cat Studio! Melissa has some sweet images this month, some in Digital and Some in Digital and Rubber!!!

This is not the most artistic project I ever posted, but I was thinking about when I was in grade school............nope, not one of those I remember when I went to band camp stories, but making little holders for our Valentines out of Paper Plates!!! This is a really quick, easy and inexpensive craft.

Supplies:

Paper Plates
Glue
Glitter
Markers
Kitty Image
Ribbon and Craft Punches

All you need to do is cut one paper plate in half and adhere it to the second paper plate to create a little pocket. Instead of using cardstock, you could do a border with ribbon or even use construction paper to cut the costs. This kitty is a perfect image for Children to colour.....you may want to cut them out and just leave the colouring to your prodiges!

You could use Rub ons, alpha stamps or just have the children print their names on the plate and voila, you have a quick and easy "mailbox" for them to place their valentines in!

Tomorrow is release day and I'll have something a wee bit more elaborate for you!

and here's some cool news from Melissa:

Pink Cat Studio is introducing some new Pixie characters this Thursday and we are having a contest to celebrate!
The Pixies have picked out their own pixie names and you have to guess which names they picked. Visit the
Pink Cat Studio blog to read the contest details and enter the contest.

Don't forget the links on my sidebar to see some beautiful Samples of this months release!

Pink Cat Studio Day 2 Preview

What do you think of this little guy? Bitty Bobby makes the cutest little Gingerbread Boy! Itty Bitty Christmas will be available at Pink Cat Studio Tomorrow!

I coloured Bobby with Prismacolor Pencils, blending with Gamsol. I found some tiny black brads to use as buttons on his costume. White Gel Pen Highlights the Candy Cane and adds some pizzaz to his cheeks. A jelly roll pen gives him some sparkle on the icing highlights!

He looked to me like he needed a perfect home, so I built a little confection Cottage! To do this I ran the Chocolate Brown Cardstock through my Cuttle bug, then I punched out a whole wack of 1" circles to build the roof atop the cuttlebugged pale pink card base. Using EK Success and Martha Stewart border punches, I made some trim. A large Oval Punch constructed a door and Liquid Applique added the snowy icing Highlights.

I think that this is my favourite image of all in the set. Betty and Bobby riding a giant Candy Cane! This image is coloured with Copics and Highlighted with White Gel Pen. EK Success Border Punches were used to cut the Spring Willow Medium and Classic Red Borders. Designer Paper is from Scenic Route.

Hope you enjoyed the Sneak Peeks! Don't forget to check out the Sidebar Links to see the great creations that the DT have for you today and don't forget our Guest Designers: MacKenzie Bruckler and Tracey Cuccia

Pink Cat Studio Release Today!

Today's the day that you can order these absolutely adorable stamps from PINK CAT STUDIO
Below, you can see all the images and neat sentiments that go along with them! Creating bag toppers are so simple and quick and make a cute little giftie idea! There's not much to describe about this Project. I cuttlebugged the black panel to give it some dimension, but other than that, it was just a matter of colouring the image with copics and cutting it out with my circular nesties.

Follow the links on my sidebar to see the designer creations. The sponging around the image ws done with a lavendar pigment ink and a grey dye ink. Glittery Highlights were added with a Spica pen. Cheeks were coloured with Chalk!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Pink Cat Studio Sneak Peek!

I am TOTALLY STOKED about this month's Pink Cat Studio Release!!!! Itty Bitty Halloween debuts two of the cutest new characters, Itty Bitty Betty and Bobby! Melissa sure has outdone herself again!!!!

Each and every image in this set is SPOOKTACULAR! I stamped this image and then cut it out with my trusty Nestabilities Die! coloured with Copics, adding a little Spica and white Gel pen for some Pizzaz! I used Olive and Caramel Coloured Inks to sponge the grave, the grass and and the sky, adding in some grey to the sky just for good measure.

In addition to the sponging, I added some chocolate and black dots to the grave to give it a little more dimension. I'm not sure if it's noticeable in the pic, but I added Diamond Glaze to the monster arms. My newest Martha Stewart punch adds a neat border I think. DP is from Imaginisce, not quite sure where I got the ribbon, but I thought it matched pretty well!
Don't forget to hit the Pink Cat DT links on my sidebar to check out the other sweet creations that the DT has created for you!
You won't have to wait but a day for the release! These images will be available online at Pink Cat Studio Tomorrow! How cool is that!
I'll have something else for you to see then!

Pink Cat Sneak Peeks!

Mellisa has reallyoutdone herself over at Pink Cat Studio for this month's release! Check out these adorable little Fairies!!! They are just delicious!!!! I created this project (you won't see it in it's entirity until the sneak peeks are completed) with a base kit from Pinecone Press Flutterby Purse kit. When I was up visiting with my Stampin' Chickas last week, I found the kit at Scrapping Great Deals.......but you can purchase it online HERE

I coloured the images with Copics and added lots of glitter and glaze for Bling Bling~~~

The images are coloured, cut out and mounted on foam dots to add dimension. As you can see with the penguin, I stamped the image on the base tag so that I didn't have to worry about cutting out the little snowflake!!!!

These images are Stinkin' cute and goe so well with the purse kit, which has everything you need to complete the entire project.
In addition to our regular talented design Diva's, Pink Cat has two guest designers for this Month!

Sneak Peek Day Two-Hello Sunshine

Yes, HELLO SUNSHINE???? HELLO??? Where the heck have you been???? The last couple of days here, have been quite grey! Gloomy and Doomy and a little chilly, the promise of spring peeking over the horizon to tease, only to kiss our noses and quickly disappear again!!!!

It felt like rain yesterday, it looked like rain all day and I was worried that last nights Football practice would be reminiscent of a mud wrestling match! Although the boys got a little more than muddy, the rain held off! I was sure that we were safe and sound!!!! NOT!

Jon has decided that he is not fussy for having a full meal before football practice. It could be that on the first day of practice, one of his teammates lost a very large meal on the field after having to endure a vigorous run under the seemingly heavy football equipment! Actually just walking around with the helmet alone, feels like you are carrying a toddler on your head! I KNOW, I borrowed the equipment for Halloween last year and lasted but about 5 minutes with the helmet on, wondering how the heck one runs in that, let alone the shoulder pads and all the other gear.

So as we were pulling through the McDonald's Drive through, the skies opened up and the rains came! Oh my Gosh! It was Hard and Thick, almost Hail. As I attempted to only open the window enough to receive the treasure in the brown bag (rolls eyes), something wonky happened with the window and it started to go up on my arm as the rain forced it's way into the car! Hitting another button quickly, I managed to open all the windows. Thank goodness the button for the roof is in another location. For the 15 seconds or so that the window was open, there was enough rain to soak through my canvas jacket, shirt and well, you know!!! Was soaked to the bone.

This evoked a fit of giggles from myself and Jonathon and although I was slightly uncomfortable, it was one of those belly laughing episodes that one rarely forgets about! I really should have taken a picture. Thank goodness the rain was pelting into my side of the car because had it been coming in the other way, it would have melted the 30 pounds of mud off jonathon and all over my new 'stang!

Oh yes, so here's the Sunshine!

Little Lily Mermaid is on the scene! Another Sweet image from Pink Cat Studio. I kept this card basic, using Creamy Caramel and Soft Sky Cardstock, Coloured with Copics, used some hemp twine and page pebble for accents. I cuttlebugged both layers for texture and added lots of stickles for Bling!!!

This is one of my favourite images in the set of four summer themed Lily's. Don't forget to hop on over to my side bar to check out the wonderful creations of my team mates and of course to see what Tori has made for you today!!!

And if the Weather doesn't hold up, I have a whole bunch of Sunshine coming to me tomorrow night! My best GF's in the whole wide world will arrive for VICTOPIA!!!! ( can you hear the trumpets blazing??) my annual Scrapbooking/Stamping weekend! Yep, by tomorrow night, the wicked witches of the west will face off with the wicked witches of the east and we will play play play all weekend long!!! Hey!! I'll have to share some of their talents with you next week!

So drive drive safely Chickas! Enjoy your road trip and Jax, be prepared to have the stuffing hugged out of you when you get here!

Stay tuned for one more sneak peek tomoz~

Happy Stamping

Imagine that! New Pink Cat!

Imagine that!
New Pink Cat
Sneak Peeks today
Take your breath away!

Wait until you see all the delicious Designs that The Pink Cat Studio Team have in store for you this week. Can you say CUTE!!!!!!! I am loving these Lily at the Beach images! Melissa has outdone herself for sure this time!!

Lily is sure enjoying herself at the Sandy Beach in her sparkliscious bathing suit!!! What a little beauty. I have had this umbrella die from Sizzix for several years and pull it out on occasion and I thought what a more perfect occasion! You can see that Lily loves it too as she seems to be jumping off the sand in anticipation of hitting the waves!!!!!

Pink Passion, Basic Grey Phoebe Paper and torn strips of Creamy Caramel make up the papers in the card. I coloured the image with copics and sponged around the umbrella with Blue Bayou ink to add a little depth to the die cut pieces. What about that flower? Little Yellow Bicycle has come out with the sweetest clear cut shapes, this one being from the baby Safari Collection.

after a refreshing swim in the cool ocean, it's time for a change of clothing and a change of scenery. Lily's off to the Turtle park to take a ride on this scrumptious Tortoise!!!! She is definitely having a sunny day!!! DP is from Imaginisce Just imagine Collection (fairest of them all) With a base of Certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette accents! The little Jewel flowers are from Maya Road and the Fancy Punches from Martha Stewart!

Our Guest Designer for this month is Tori Wild. Check out her Faboo Blog, Wild Sprinkles! I spent some time browsing her site last night and she is one talented Stamping Chicka!!!!! and of course Pop on over to my fellow design Divas by following the Links on the DT Sidebar!!!

Can't wait to show you more tomorrow.............plus maybe pictures of my "outdoor" pet!

Pink Cat Challenge-Mariska's Challenge

I'm back with the Pink Cat Studio Challenge card. The challenge was hosted by Mariska and was called either/or. The first choice was to make either a Baby Card or a Birthday Card. I made a Baby Birthday Card!!!! lol

The second part of the challenge was to either use stitching or layer your images (like Paper tole). I chose to do the stitching........most real, but a little faux as well. I used paper from DCWV Nursery Stack for Boys, Certainly Celery and Lovely Lilac Card Stock. Nesties and SU! Punches for the sentiment and grounding later................

Well best get going as I have to be at work early today! If you want to play the challenge, look HERE

Happy Stamping!

P.S. Hanna Peeks start Friday!

Sweet!!!! Sweet Pea Release Day!

Today's the day that Sweet, Sweet Pea is available at PINK CAT STUDIO The sets are very versatile and you interchange images between the two sets to make so many cute cards!!!

I think this may be my favourite creation of all the peeks that I made. When I first saw the stamps, I thought the combination of the Box and the Strawberry Hat would make a cute card!

Did you know you can make very cute leaves with your oval punches? Here's the Trick.

1. Punch The Oval (when I need larger leaves I use the larger SU Oval punch
2. Fold the leaf length wise
3. Keeping it folded, make horizontal diagonal fold to create the "veins" in the leaves
4. Unfold and crumple it up into a little ball
5. Straighten it out again and then go direct to paper with your inkpad to add depth of colour.
You can sponge on additional colour if you like.
6. Pinch the leaf into shape and add it to your project.

The DP that I used for this project is a retired DP from SU! called Cerise.

Here are the plates for the new stamp sets. I'll have some more samples for you over the next couple of weeks. I still can't pick my favourite, but I know I am partial to the Cow Baby!!!!

Have a great day and Happy Stamping of course! I'll be back tomorrow with a TCP Challenge Card!

More PinkCat!!

More Sneak Peeks from Pink Cat!!!! These two cards are made using the Sweet Pea set! Aren't they a giggle??? A baby Fairy to match the enchanted Lily girls and a wee Cowboy!

The papers on the cowboy card are from an album that had been in a grab bag somewhere. I figured I was never going to use it, so I took it apart and turned it into a card!

That made it eady to match all the colours!!! lol.......... The image is coloured with Copics and I sponged Creamy Caramel Ink around the whole image to distress it! I thought the punched stars would add to the theme of the card.

I thought the Baby Fairy image would be perfect for a little gifty can! This was so quick and easy to make. I Paper pieced the petals of the flower as well as the stem, using paper from....hmmm well, I can't remember actually, but I am thinking it was a 6x6 SU! Patterned paper pad!

Fairies should be pretty and glittery, so I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the wings, star and centre of the flower! I like to use Stampin' Up! Stampin' Pastels to do cheeks on images, I find that I can get a softer look with the chalk!

The little tag was created by using SU Tag Punches and matching DP. I Stamped the sentiment directly onto the DP and punched, then punched an extra sentiment, cutting the star out and mounting it on a dimensional!

Don't forget to check out the tremendously talented DT samples....... I am amazed with each and every project they create!

Come back tomorrow for one last sneak peek and the reveal of the stamps sets!

Happy Stamping
