Good Morning!! I'm excited to be the featured Designer for Impression Obsession today as I get to share some of the newest stamps!!!! I won't be attending CHA in Phoenix this year, but I'm happy to say that some of my cards will be on display in the Impression Obsession Booth!!! If you happen to get there and see these cards, please snap a pic for me!!!!
Along with sharing new images, I also wanted to show you how to make use of the negative space of a die cut as shown in my second card. Back to my first card first!!! Can you see the awesome X and O Cover a Card? I've also used it on the second card, which is WAY more apparent! On this card, I used it on the large red panel on the card base, as well as on the red hearts I cut from the Heart Die Set
I then filled the Wheelbarrow full of hearts. I added a small metal brad to the centre of the tire for some added dimension. I cut the LOVE die out twice, once in Melon Mambo and once in Black to create the shadow. Lastly, I added the sentiment (c17153) You will forever be my always......makes my heart melt!!! I think I will give this card to Syd.......lol
As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to show you that using the negative space of the die can be quite effective. I cut around the space with a Heart Die cut. I coloured an "X" and an "O" to highlight them, added a little bling on the heart and mounted it on some dimensional dots. Easy Peasy!!!!
I hope you enjoy my cards today as much as I enjoyed creating them. We'll be back soon with a Spring Release Blog Hop to share some more IO images!!!
