CPS 276

Hey There! Hope you're all having a great week! This is the last week that Stampotique is Sponsoring the CPS challenges in July, so I thought I'd squeak in just one more image that is perfect for making clean and simple cards! This 3 girls stamp has the sentiment on the image itself, which is perfect!

In order to add a touch more texture to the card, I stamped this tiny starfish tone on tone onto the card base. The Magic Mesh (a VERY old embellishment!) adds to the beach theme I think and these ancient metal embellies from SU complete the look.

For Ink, I used Stephanie Barnard for Colorbox (Chocolate). I LOVE the depth of colour that I achieve with my Colorbox Inks and have pretty much abandoned my former fave ink for the Colorbox line!

Be sure to head on over to the CPS blog to see the sketch and play along with the challenge

CPS 275

Hey There!!! Hope you're all enjoying your summer. I know I've been quiet on my blog lately and I'm hoping to be a little more active in the next little while. Here's my CPS Card for today. Stampotique is sponsoring the challenge for the month of July and you KNOW that they have some of my FAVE FAVE FAVE images! Great Moon and Chessy! Carol and Jim also carry these fun ADAGE Tickets by Tim Holtz. I Stamped the Moon onto white cardstock, then I masked the image and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.....Lavendar and Concord. I Coloured the Moon and Chessy with my Touch Markers by Shinhan arts. I very loosely coloured this image with little blend as I wanted a Cartoonish messy look!
Here's my colour Map!

If you want to play along with the sketch feel free and be sure to post your project on the

Wanted to share a couple of Pictures of my New Do!!! Needed a pick me up..... I {heart} how you transformed me Mellissa! Thanks a bunch!

Impression Obsession Fly Away Challenge and Blog Hop!

Today we're not only sharing some of the gorgeous new Impression Obsession Stamps, we're also playing the Fly Away Challenge. You can get all the details for the challenge over at the Impression Obsession Blog today, along with links to the creative designers that are sharing their art.

I adore this beautiful Bird Collage 4 image. I can see so much potential with this stamp. Unlike my Spooky Bird card from earlier in the week, I wanted to create something rather elegant. To do this I stamped the image three times using these awesome new cats eye stacks from colorbox. The base layer and the leaf layer were stamped with the twist stack, the pretty rose with the heritage stack. I really  love the saturation of ink that you get with these cut little pads! I layered each section with dimensional dots to give the card a three dimensional effect. Border Punches by Martha Stewart Crafts and EK Success were used to create the top and side borders and I used tone on tone layers to achieve what I think is an elegant effect! Tiny half pearls finish off the card nicely I think!

Hope you're inspired by the projects that you see on the hop today!

Impression Obsession Week long Blog Hop featuring CHA peeks!

When I first saw these fun bird images, by Dina, I automatically thought of the Alfred Hitchcock movie, The Birds~ I know the birds will be also perfect for simple and elegant cards, but my macabre sense of humour took me there~ I created this simple card with the two new bird images and fun Hallowe'en sentiment, that will be released at CHA this week~

Impression is celebrating the release with a week long blog hop. To see all the details of the hop, please head over to the Impression Obsession blog to check it out~

See you tomorrow with another peek!

CPS 273 teams up with Stampotique Originals

Hi All! Long time no see.....I've been stamping "sluggish" lately, but hoping to share more fun creations with you as I gradually get my mojo back!

Here's my very simple CPS card for today, using this fun Altered Hello stamp from Stampotique Originals, a company who's stamps are close to my heart, along with the owners of the Company, Jim and Carol Ramsey. Stampotique is sponsoring the challenges for the month of July. You really need to head over to the CPS blog to check out the samples and the fun sketch for the week~

The DP that I used is from the Echo Park Hello Summer Collection. I get mine at Scrapping Great Deals. The only other thing I want to mention is that I made the small leaf embellishment with my small oval punch. It's so easy! You just punch the oval, fold it in half lengthwise. While still fold it, create some diagonal folds to create "veins". Unfold and add some coordinating ink...easy peasy

The inks I used are Banana, Cornflower and Bubblegum-Stephanie Barnard, by Colorbox.

Happy Stamping~

Impression Obsession CHA Sneaky Peeks!

So excited to be sharing some sneak peeks this week from Impression Obsession. IO will be at CHA Chicago this week with some gorgeous new images! This adorable giraffe is one of them! I would imagine that they will be up on the website soon~

As for the rest of the card, I used this fun cover a card Passport Stamps background stamped in Stephanie Barnard Chocolate Ink by Colorbox. Additionally, I used this fun Dream sentiment and the absolutely adorable Bare Tree Die. I finished off the card with a punched border and some sponging with some Tim Holtz Straw distress ink. Be sure to check back all week for more sneak peeks and head over to the IO blog to see who has new samples for you each day!

Just a little note.....

I made this card for someone who inspires me. She is fighting a battle with breast cancer, yet she continues to remain strong and positive, smiling and enjoying each day. I know that she is going to win this battle and pray for strength and good health for her. Keep up the good fight girl!
