My Scraps & More-Sketch 9-Perfect Weather

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Ours was quiet, but nice. Paul and Miranda shared Christmas Morning with us and had a good breakfast before heading off to visit family in London. That left myself, Mom, Dad, Jon, my cousin Faye and Sydney of course!

The fresh blanket of snow made for a very pretty winter scene and we enjoyed some play time outside with Sydney, who had a blast chasing snowballs

I created this layout for the My Scraps & More Challenge. I have a whole slew of photographs and will likely make this into a two page layout, but before I do that, I have some things I have to get working on before we head back to London to bring in the New Year with Pauls Family, weather permitting!

Supplies:

Kraft Cardstock-CTMH
Designer Paper-Easy Breezy  and Scattered Pine Mountain from The Paper Loft
Embellies: Graphic 45, Tim Holtz and Dollar Store. Easy Breezy Cardstock Embellies!

You are Fabulous! Crafting Resolutions!

I took some time to play the Splitcoaststampers Way to Use it Challenge
The challenge was to revisit last years resolution to see if you had followed through. Since I didn't establish a resolution last year, I thought what a better time to make one! So.....my resolution is to use more background stamps this year! I have some amazing ones, but have a tendency to lean toward using Designer Paper. So this year, you will see more background stamps!!! I may even step it up a notch and do some techniques with backgrounds as well! We'll see, baby steps first. I hope you enjoyed a nice Christmas. We had a quiet day, but it is always good to spend family time.

It's hard to believe that 2012 is quickly coming to an end and the New Year is less than a week away....sheesh, the older I get, the quicker time flies by~

Well i'm off to have a warm bath and get the winter chill out of my bones

Have a great night~

Bellatastic Tuesday!

It's Bellatastic Tuesday over at Splitcoaststampers.
Elaine, our Hostess Extraordinaire has challeged us to create a card using lots and lots of white space

I love CAS cards....not too too difficult to think about (hmmmm I wonder how many times I can use too and to in a sentence .....lol...then we could a TWO more sentences consisting of too many "to" words.....allright, it's gonna be THAT kind of day....lol) Good thing i'm in good humour as I'm writing a Law final this morning. That will be one more credit under my belt. At the rate i'm going, I will finally have my BA Psych by this time next year~ YAY

Not even remotely ready for Christmas yet, but as you can see, I have one more card under my belt {GRIN}. I actually have to sit down this evening and sort through my cards so I can get them out by tomorrow.....crazy eh.......my goal is that peeps will get their cards before the New Year anyway. Thank goodness I'm not a Cobbler; poor Jon would be fairing the winter elements in his big old Bare feet!!!!

Allright, enough silliness, on with my day~ Hope you all have a blessed Tuesday!!!!

Hugs and Love,

Scraps & More Challenge

Ahhhh Sweet Scrapbooking....I had a lovely time playing with this sketch. I've had this picture sitting on my craft table just waiting to be scrapped. I love this photo and each time I see it, I vividly remember that moment. The Giggles, the joy of playing in the snow and the excitement when Jon's Dad made a Snow Cave in a very large snowbank (it's rare to have huge piles of snow anymore, but this winter in particular, the snow was plentiful, heavy and wet and perfect for creating snow structures!

I used double tags to create a title and a Journalling Block all in one~

I picked up a couple of packages of these plastic snowflakes at the dollar store......they're perfect for christmas cards and pages!!!!

Hope you're all having a great day!

Kendra's "Pin-spired" Christmas

So are you all ready for Christmas? Not me, not even remotely close. I think that as soon as I've completed my last exam for this term next Monday, I'll probably be able to focus on decorating, baking and shopping. Yep, haven't even purchased one gift yet. How is THAT for last minute. Fortunately, I don't have a huge family and I can get most of my shopping done in one trip. I have put some thought into it and have an idea of what i'll put under the tree for my peeps, so I'll just have to get out and get it.

My Tag for today was created from this Photo I saw on Pinterest Yesterday

You can read about this Gorgeous Tag on Anne's Paper Fun

I was intrigued by the beautiful colours, the pretty bow and the added texture on her beautiful gift tag.

The Pretty Bird is one of three Birds in the Eclectic Birdies from Stamping Bella- So Tweet (hehe!)

I was a little disappointed in the Photography. THe Ribbon actually matches the colour in the tag much more closely, but picked up more Blue than it is in real life!

Hope you enjoyed this project.
Head on over to Kendra's Blog to see what she's up to today!

I LOVE this picture. I was so blessed to join Miranda and her Girlfriends at her 18th Birthday Celebration. Needless to say, I felt a little old with all those young and beautiful girls, but they were all so much fun and sweet as can be. I was able to get some great shots of them, but was lucky that a friend nabbed my camera to catch a few shots of the two of use together. Isn't She Beautiful?
I enjoy the times that we spend together. We spent Sunday afternoon crafting and she created some great christmas cards.

For my project, I used the Easy Breezy line. I just LOVE the Paper Loft Line and as I've said before, I'm blessed to be on the team because it has motivated to renew my love for Scrapping!

Hope to see your projects on the Paper Loft Blog and curious to see who will join us as Guest Designer

Celebrating the Holidays with IO Stamps!

I'm excited to be sharing this pretty image with you today for our Celebrating the Holidays over at Impression Obsession. I used several images on my creation, including TWO cover a card Background Stamps-Cover a Card Nordic Christmas  (on the Tan heart) and Ornate Snowflakes. (more subtle, om the blue background). The main image is called Snow Couple with Birds. The sentiment is from the The Miracle of Christmas Clear set . I Cut the heart freehand.....YEP, Freehand! In these days of all the delicious Die cuts out there, I didn't have a Heart in the right size........I could have used my Cricut, but it was holding up my laptop as I was assembling the card and watching a lecture, so I was to lazy to disassemble everything! I did use the IO Pine Branch Die  though....It's one of my faves as of late!

I coloured my image with a mix of Touch Markers and Copic and added lots of Glitter, Gel Pen, Sparkly Fluff and Flower Soft for texture.........GOSH I LOVE LOVE LOVE making winter cards!

Be sure to head on over to the IO Blog to see who's sharing projects today and to find out how you can win some Gorgeous RUBBER!!!

Happy Stamping!

More "Pin"-SPirations!

I'm excited to be Pin Spired along with Kendra today

My Inspiration for this card started with the Wreath

I love the combination of the Teal Red and White and of course the gorgeous textures in the wreath

I wanted to add scads and scads of texture to Uptown Girl Eve Under the Mistletoe (Isn't she BELLALICIOUS???)! So I adorned her dress with Sparkly Fluff and added lots and lots of Glitter!!!
I have been glittering almost eery card I've made as of late, just SOOOO into it these days!!!!

How do you like her Puffy Evening Shoes? I remember my mom had some fancy house slippers that had black fur on them........Super Sexy!!!! lol

I wanted to showcase the sentiment as well, so I decorated the inside of the card (it's a rare occasion when I do that, but I like the way it turned out!

The Designer paper I used for my card is from the Paper Loft Every Day Life Collection.
It is not a Christmas Line, but I think it looks pretty darned Festive!

Make sure you hop on over to Kendra's Blog to see what she has in store for you each day between now and the 21st of December.

The Challenge Chicks~

I am very excited to be playing along with some SUPER DUPER UBER TALENTED Stampy Chicks in a new Monthly Challenge Group!!! You are welcome to play along with us and can grab this Super Cute Blinkie off my Sidebar!

So this month's challenge is to create a tag. I have decided that in this challenge group, I will challenge myself to do something different, something that Is out of my stamping norm. I purchased a few bottles of Dylusions Spray a few months ago and vowed that I would ensure that it doesn't go unused, collecting dust on my shelf.

I also have these fabulous stencils and matching Balzer Design stamps from IO stamps

And then.....

I settled in to play!

And messed and mucked about!!!! My pretty Turqoise Spray turned a vivid purple on top of the hot pink spray. I added stamps and lots of silver embossing powder

The Teal Tree is fashioned from The Fancy Tree Dies set

Now because my Tree was just not blingy enough, I added the GLITTER on top of the Bottom layer overlaying the fancy part of the tree on top

and just because my peeper weren't bedazzled enough, I had to add some BIG BLING Rhinestones

AND

some pretty Blingly Ribbon

Not sure that I'm really fond of this tag, but I think if I added it to a neutral coloured package, I should be able to carry it off~

Please Play along with us and click on the Photo to link up your creation!

Tami M's Coordinations Challenge!

I created this card for a Challenge that my good stamping pal Tami Mayberry is holding on her blog.
For the details of the challenge and to play along, be sure to click HERE

I used my Coordinations Black Magic Cardstock as a card base. I ran it through a Sizzix Embossing Folder and Sanded. I love the colour of the Teal showing through the back.
I used this fun sentiment from IO Stamps. The challenge was to create a quick card that could be easily duplicated. I think this one can. I was lucky to find some Seam Binding that completely matched the teal cardstock. I dragged the edges of the tree through som versark and embossed in silver. A wee scrap of DP leftover from another project formed the stump and of course some Polar White Flower Soft adds a little snow to ground the tree

Happy Stamping!

Pin-spired with Kendra! and....a Coordinations Challenge

My Sweet Friend Kendra, from Kendra's Card Company has a ton of fun in store for  you over on her blog this month. She asked some of her Crafty Friends to play along and she picked me!!! Yay~

So for a few days in December, I'll be sharing some Pinterest Inspired Projects

I LOVE everything Snowmen....and I have quite a collection in my house. I saw this light fixture on Pinterest and Thought I'd love to make something like this.

In the meantime..........

My Mother and I bought a Gazillion of these glass balls one year at Michaels when they were drastically reduced in price. I think some of the Bulbs were less than 3 cents a piece.

They've been sitting in boxes under the Stairs forever. We did make some Snowglobes and some Suspended ornaments, but it was time for a fresh Idea.

I pulled out my Tole painting supplies and Got to work creating Happy Little Snow Peep Faces.
Think i'm going to work on a Tutorial for these little guys......just have to find some time

Happy Crafting!

Be sure to Check out Kendra's Blog each and every day! She's going to have some fabulous surprises for you!
