The Pink Elephant Challenge #43

Colour Me Beautiful!

This week, Ella has us using our favourite colouring mediums. I would have to say that I have two favourites...Copic Markers and Prism Pencils. I also love to watercolour, but haven't done that for quite some time!

This week, our Sponsor is CC Designs. I chose to colour Sweet Kiki Larue.......an image that is available in rubber and digi. Oh my gosh they have the cutest stamps by CC Designs over at All That Scraps. Be sure that you head over the The Pink Elephant Blog to see the wonderful CC images from the Design Team ladies and play along with us! What is your favourite method of colouring?

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Happy Stamping!

Kimmie's Krafty Blog Hop!

Today marks the release of the December images from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps! There are 4 new images from Crissy Armstrong, 4 new images from Annie Rodrigue, two new sets of sentiments and two new images from a brand new artist, Jean Grant! You’ll get to check out all the images throughout our fabulous blog hop!!

If you've just arrived here from Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, then you're in the right place! After feasting your eyes upon Jovial Josephine, you'll have a real treat when you hop on over to Lacey Stephen's Blog......wow, she has some great scrapbook Layouts!

If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because three lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie store, because ALL the new images are NOW available!

I coloured Josephine ( I am totally infatuated with her, her sayings and her little love potion bottle!) with Copics. To keep the earth Tones, I did the Hearts in Salmon Red with Brown (E08) shading... I used Fruit Pink for the lighter areas. She Looked like she needed some stitching, so I zig zagged my way around the Basic Grey Indian Summer Paper and the main image as well. I cut the heart freehand and stitched it onto the card with a straight machine stitch. I am really Pleased with how this card turned out. I initially thought about adding a little more here and there, but then decided that sometimes less is more.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday! I'm going to have a lazy day today, just because I can!

Happy Stamping!

Getting Punch Happy and Touchy Feely!

Is that sounding a little aggressive? lol~~~ Actually I'm keeping my hands to myself! Punch Happy is the C4C Challenge this week (week 13) and Touchy Feely is the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge for this week (Week 8). Again, I combined the two challenged to create my Stuck on You card. What do you think of Bonnie and Clyde? They are quite the couple aren't they? Do you think they're being extra cautious not to Tangle their porcupiney quills? Do you suppose they have a prickly relationship..........lol! Okay enough already.........Bonnie and Clyde are new December release stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and illustrated by Crissy, who happens to be our Challenge Hostess this week!

The challenge is to add elements that would create texture in the card. To do so, I cuttlebugged the brown layer, added a metal photo corner and ribbons and a button of course!!! Make sure you check out the Challenge Blog to see the DT creations and to find out exactly how you can win a free stamp by playing along with us.

Over at Crazy4Challenges we're pulling out our punches to go full out and get punch happy on our cards. I just picked up this very cool MS Daisy Punch this week at M's. The Scalloped border is also a MS punch. Kraftin' Kimmie has been our sponsor this month and if you head over to the C4C blog, you are going to see some great samples for the upcoming release from our very talented Crazies!

Here's another sneak peek for you. It's Daddy's Little Girl..............she'll be available this December release as well!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow..........Kimmie, the Krafty Girls and Krafty friends will be Hoppin'!

See you then!

Kraftin' Kimmies December Release Preview

Ohhhh the eye CANDY that you will feast your eyes upon today is going to be UNREAL. I've had a chance to see some of Kimmie's Krafty Girls preview cards and I have to say that they are UNBELIEVEABLE~~~ This month, Kimmie has some super talented Krafty Friends playing along, so for a complete list of Preview sites , head on over to the KK Challenge BLog. We have two days of previews, followed by a HUGE blog hop on Sunday!!!

Funky Drucilla thinks that love is in the air...............if it doesn't come to her, she's going to get a little help from her dolly friend to make it happen.........she is deliciously macabre, which is what I love about Annie's images. I coloured her with Copics, I love to use Eggshell and Sand to make an antiquey/teastained effect. The Designer Paper is from Making Memories (glittered) and Graphic 45 (dotted)Buttons, Bows and my new EK Success Border Punch Complete the Look. The sentiment is one of two new sentiment sets that Kimmie will be releasing this Friday!

Hope you have a wonderful day, enjoy the talents of my Krafty D Teammates and I'll see you tomorrow with the C4C Challenge, KK Challenge and another preview.

Happy Stamping!

How about Sweet Schu? This little character is available at Stampotique!!!

The Pink Elephant Challenge 42

This week Ella has a Recipe Challenge for us! What is this delicious Recipe you ask? Plaid, Brads and NO ribbon.............Now, if you KNOW me, you KNOW that you won't see very many ribbonless cards..........but now I can feel confident that if ever there is a ribbon shortage......after I use up my gazillion existing yards, that I CAN build a card with no Ribbon!!!

What about these cute Little Elfs??? These images are digi's from The Wildflower Patch. So you can make them just the size that you like!

DP is from Eskimo Kisses and SU! Images coloured with Copics and dusted with some fine Glitter, highlighted with white gel pen and Bedazzled with Spica Pens!

Hope you'll play along!!! You could win a prize from The Wildflower Patch. Head on over to TPE blog to see all the deets on where and how to load your card! Also don't forget to check out TPE Designer Cards, they are just gorgeous this week!

And the winner is.................................

The winner of Our Craft Lounge Blog Candy for this blog is Traceyof Tray's Spot. Congratulations Tracey! You won Hang it up Cupid!!!!............send me an email with your snail deets and I'll have OCL get that right out to you!

Here's a couple of cards that I've made but haven't posted yet. Both images are from Pink Cat Digital Studio and adorable if I say so myself. I am just lovin' Melissa's Illustrations and just wiggle with excitement each time I get a new file!!!!

This sweet Snowman features BG's Figgy Pudding Paper. I coloured it with copics and then distressed the whole thing using Caramel coloured Dye Ink.

I like to call this one Cosmo Snowman, because I used some Cosmo Cricket YUMMY YUMMY Christmas paper.........it's so funkalicious that I can't stand it!!!! This image was also coloured with Copics and drizzled with crystal stickles..............geez, does it sound like I'm talking about a cinnamon bun?

Speaking of Baking, I just baked my first Butter Tarts from scratch! Let me tell you, the pastry is SO flaky and the tarts runny! I'm quite impressed with myself! Lol! Have started a tradition of Sunday dinners, so that's my contribution for today. I am lucky that Mom is cooking this week.......Peameal Bacon with Cashew Stuffing, Red Cabbage, fresh Green Beans and Sour Cream and Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes.........YUMMY...............yep, going off my eating plan today for sure!!!!

Anyway, Happy Sunday and I'll catch you tomorrow with The Pink Elephant Challenge

Crazy4Challenges with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps C4C12

I can hardly believe that we are on Challenge 12 for C4C. It seems that our group just started. I am so excited that we have so many followers and players each week. I truly appreciate your support for this blog and although I don't have time to comment on each and every creation, I am so happy that you play along. As you can see, our Challenge Hostess Frances, has designed a fabulous sketch for us this week.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is our November Sponsor! I took a fairly loose interpretation of this challenge and although it isn't exactly as specified, I think it will pass.........hmm well I hope so anyway!!!

As for our Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge- It's a Winter/Christmas Theme and is hosted this week by our very talented Diana! Be sure to hop on over to her blog and take a look to see which stamp you can win by participating in the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.

Deets on the Card??? I used this Years Christmas Paper from SU!, One of my last purchases before I retired as a demo. IT is a rather pretty colour isn't it? I coloured CLARA with Copics, using the BG and Warm Grey series of marker. I made a rather interesting Ribbon Slide with a Metal Frame...........still not sure whether I like it or not. The sentiment is also from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps........you can find both stamps on the website!!!

Please feel free to play along with both challenges!!! and don't forget to see what the C4C Crazies have come up with for you this week as well as Kimmie's Kraftin' Girls! The talent of all of these women never cease to amaze me!

Link up your creations on the C4C Blog and Over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog

Happy Stamping!

Today's the Day! Our Craft Lounge Blog Hop and Candy Giveaway reveal!

Oh my gosh! When I first saw this set, I laughed out LOUD!!! Hang it up Cupid!!!! Now THAT is hilarious!!! I've heard a LOT of people and even those in loving relationships, say that they are not a celebrator of Saint Valentines Day! The reason? some say that it's a money grab, that the retailers just monopolize on an occasion that should be celebrated every day, which brings me to the second rationale that i've heard.........Every day in a relationship should be Valentines Day, that we should always treat our partner with the utmost of love and respect and that we don't need a holiday for that.............makes some sense, but pshaw!!!! Bring on the Chocolates and Wine and Romantic dinner....................I'm game.........but wait a minute, if we no longer celebrate Valentines Day and act accordingly with our partners EVERY day................well maybe that would be a lifetime supply of wine and chocolate.........oh my, I just visualize myself flopped out in a brick alleyway having gained all my weight back, and reeking of Valpolicella (that's MASI)...........WHICH would be my favourite wine, JUST in case someone special is READING this..............Or well if anyone feels compelled to send me a gift!!!! Okay enough silly babble........when I get on a tangent, I get ON a tangent!!!! lol

So this set is called Hang it up Cupid and I LOVE it.......................I used some Rusty Pickle DP as a border for this card as well as some K&CO that I purchased in a Valentined Themed Pad last year. The card worked up very fast, as the colouring is minimal. I used some Pink Sparkly Fluff on her Bow and Eyepatch..........a product exclusively from Our Craft Lounge.

Here is the set in it's entirety............How Cute eh?

Okay, now want to get in on the Candy! This is the set that's up for Grabs on my Blog!!!! If you've been visiting for the last few days, you'll know that leaving a comment will give you a virtual "ticket" to win this set. I'll be randomly choosing a winner on Saturday Morning and I'll have an announcement sometime over the weekend. Be sure we have a way to contact you!!!!

For my Fairy Card, I used Cosmo Cricket Earth Love Collection. The Darker Rust DP is a retired paper and no longer available, but it sure did match well with the CC. Image is coloured in Copics and I added a couple of Prima Flowers to finish it.

The Frog Prince Card was quick and easy. I cuttlebugged the soft pink base to add some dimension, cut out the main image with a nestie and added some wide Olive Ribbon to create a border. Some Pink Gingham Ribbon and a Queen and Co Brad pull the pink theme all together. The image is coloured with Copics, Gold Gel Pen and Sakura Red Glaze pen.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for the Final Blog Hop!

Pink Cat Thursday!

And that means new Digital Images!! This week, poor Lily and Billy are under the weather! Seems to be the norm for people this last month. Almost everyone I know has had the flu or a lingering cold that won't seem to go away!

Gee, I wish that I could look this good when I am under the weather! Not a chance, my hair is usually sticking up all over the place, my complexion pasty, but I have a chair that looks almost identical to Billy's. It's very comfy and even at 5'10", I can curl up in it just like that!!!

Head on over to Pink Cat Digi Studio to check out the new sets. And don't forget to show the Pink Cat DDT Girls some love by following the links on my sidebar!

Did I mention that I LOVE the way this card turned out? I coloured him with Copics and got a really nice blend on that chair!. DP is from Basic Grey Mellow and the Base Paper is Spring Willow Medium from Prism.

The sentiment for this set is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments. There's 30 awesome phrases in this set.

Additionally, you can get some very cool free sentiments to go with Billy over at the Digi Studio!

Happy Stamping!

The {Stamps} of Life-Joy2Christmas Scrapbooking!

Here's a quick and easy project completed with the StampsofLife Digital Joy2Christmas Set. If you visit the website in the next few days, I've created a project sheet on exactly how to complete this page!

This was a photograph of my sweet babe when he was two years old. Boy oh boy time has flown by! I didn't really like the look of the posed picture in it's entirety, too much grey carpet and faux backdrop, so I cropped it down from 8x10 to 5x7.....I wanted to focus on Jon's sweet little angel face!!!

Supplies:

The {Stamps} of Life Joy2Christmas Digital Stamps
Kraft and Red Cardstock
Wide Ribbon
DP from MME
Buttons, Linen Thread and Brown Thread for Machine Stitching
Chipboard Numbers
Felt Flower
Mini Glue Dots

Hope you enjoyed this project!

Happy Stamping!

Our Craft Lounge Sneak Peeksand some Candy too!

I am totally excited to be playing along with the Our Craft Lounge Design Team to bring you sneak peeks of the newest sets that will be released this Friday at Our Craft Lounge!

This adorable set, out for a spin, is one of 13 new sets that you can check out by following the links to the following blogs:

You'll be sure to see some fabby previews from this creative crew! Want to win some sweet sweet candy? Make sure that you leave some love along your blog visits today. All of you that do over the next three days will be compiled for one random winner per blog. You have until Midnight on Friday night (est) to enter your comments on any or all of my OCL posts. Please leave some contact info so that I can find you when you win! I'll be giving away the set that I am showcasing on Friday!

I wanted to keep my layout for this card simple, with the focus being on the main image. I coloured with Copics, adding some silver gel pen for the handlebars and various metal parts. The brown layer looked a little dull, so I cuttlebugged some cute daisies in to give it a little ziparoo!

Dotty Ribbon and Red button accents complete the look of this simple card. I really liked this image because it coloured quickly and was easy to use on this clean card design.

Hope you have fun seeing what OCL has in store for you this month! Don't forget to come back tomorrow, I'll have more peeks for you!

Happy Stamping!

PInk Elephant Challenge #41 and a whole lot more!

I have so much to share with you today! First things first though. Today's TPE Challenge is a Sketch Challenge! This is my very loose interpretation of the sketch. I didn't have the patience to cut a double circle for a card, so I used a clean white square as my card base. The circular cutout was created on my Cricut Machine. I thread two different ribbons through the main image, thus imitating the lines on the sketch.

The main image, Pookie, is from our VERY OWN Lori Boyd! Pookie and some of her other fabulous Lollipop images are available over at Stamping Bella. Not too much to say about the rest of the card. I coloured with Copics, cut out lil' Pookie and mounted him on dimesional tape. Tied on the Tag with some linen thread. The sentiment is from Everyday Flexible Phrases.

So if you would like to play along with this challenge, don't forget to link up your creation via Mr. Linky on TPE blog. The Sponsor for today is DiecutsRus and Claudia has generously donated a 10.00 Gift Certificate and a new digi image to one winner.

Totally Stampalicious has a great Shipping Promo going on for the next week. They have waived all Shipping Charges ! Yep! even international customers. Check out Wilimeana.......I like to call her Little miss Micheif! Can't you see it written all over her face? This stamp set comes with all sorts of neat sayings and some cool accessories!

I used Basic Grey DP (Figgy Pudding) and Primary Red as my base cardstock. The image is Paper Pieced and coloured with Copic Markers.

Lastly, and certainly not least, Melissa has some new Rubber Goodness over at Pink Cat Studio.

Today Pink Cat Studio is releasing three “Lily in Winter” themed rubber stamp sets. Each set has 3 stamps which include a large Lily stamp, a small coordinating stamp and a sentiment. Visit the PCS website to see the new stamps: http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/Stamps/Lily/Lily.htm

Phew! I think that is about it for today....... I have a LOT of stuff brewing up in the Studio this week.................Stay Tuned!

Happy Stamping!

Crazy4Challenges with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

I was able to combine two Challenges again for today! Our Crazy4Challenges Team Challenge was to create a card using acetate, while Kraftin' Kimmie's Hostess Extraordinaire Andrea, has us using lots and lots of circles!!!

I created this card using Bernadette, a scrumptious little Snow Bunny! I used the snowflake stamp that comes as an accessory for Antoinette, another Kraftin' Kimmie image and stamped on the acetate with white pigment ink. In reality, Bernadette has a lovely little body, but being that the challenge was to use plenty 'O circles, I cropped her a wee bit. I coloured her with Copics, inked around the image with Baby Blue Pigment Ink and added some white gel pen snowflakes. Her Fuzzy Earmuffs and Handwarmer...... I completely drew a blank as to what that is called and her scarf are flocked with Our Craft Lounge Sparkly Fluff and as you can see, it's very very sparkly!

I made more circles with Basic Grey DP (Eskimo Kisses) and the scalloped edge actually sits on the inside of the card with a place to hold the sentiment. I punched some white snowflakes as embellies and inked the edges with the blue ink. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Holiday Sentiment Set.

The little clear dimensional circles are page pebbly type of things........adding more circles and a little oomph to the centre of the snowflakes.

Soooo you may want to play along with both challenges

To play the C4C Challenge ensure that you visit the blog to add your creation via Mr. Linky

This week with the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge, you can win Piper, a fun and funky image just for playing! Head on over to the Blog to get all the deets!
