It's also Challenge Friday over in the Hanna Stamps Member Forum. Today's Challenge is hosted by Jeanne Streiff, one of my Fave Stamping Friends. The challenge was to use Diamonds Shapes on your card. I used an argyle Cuttlebug Folder and a Martha Stewart Border Punch to be in compliance...........hehe.............compliance............makes it sound like Jeanne's cracking the whip over there, but really she is nice................
Anyway, did you know that if you play the Friday Challenges, we select one player a month and you can win a free Hanna Set of your Choice? Because I am Prescheduling this post, I can give you a link to the Member Forum if you wish to play, but can't link directly to the challenge as it's not posted yet. To Play the challenge click HERE
The main colours in my card are Pretty in Pink and Neenah White. The image is coloured with Copics, the Layers sponged with Pink Pirouette and dotted with white gel Pen. Ribbon is from the Dollar bin at the "M" store! The sentiment is from the congrats set, which happens to be one in the same as the one that I am giving away for MY BLOG CANDY from yesterday's post. Don't forget to leave a comment there, while you are here!!!!
And now it's time for you to hop along to Jeanne's Blog. She is one Radical Stamper and I love her schtuff!!!!
If you get lost along the way...........the actual Hop Starts with Kristi

ReplyDeleteWell there's not enough room here to include all the things I consider lucky! Most recently though, I've been lucky enough to win some great stamps, and from my favorite place Hanna Stamps! Love your card Vicki!
ReplyDeleteLove it - I have never really had any luck...mostly bad - but I guess it kind of changed when my hubbie walked into my life!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!!
ReplyDeleteI have often been lucky in my life from finding a great partner, to having good health, and a good job.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite story of being lucky though, is one of my sister's good fortune. When she was about 8 and I was about 10 we were with my parents shopping for furniture at the Brick. She walked by a display and on the ground was a $50.00 bill. she picked it up, and with my dad went to the customer service desk to turn it in. they thanked her for her honesty, and said that it would be impossible to find the real owner, so she could keep it.
What a cute card. Maybe this is my lucky day to win a goodie bag. Thanks for this fabulous eye candy and a chance at some candy.
ReplyDeleteLove your card ...makes me want to get married again hehehe :)
ReplyDeleteI had good luck when I was a kid at a fair with the number 13. I so badly wanted a bike and they were raffling off a ten speed bike *dream come true* for me at the time. You had to place a quarter on the numbered counter and he spun a wheel (wow dating myself lol). I hit on the number 13, and from that day that number has bought me nothing but LUCK :) Wow I tell very few people that story when they ask me why I like 13 so much *blushes*
What a great card. Love it.
ReplyDeletethanks for the sharing the adoreable card. My dd is getting married this summer.May have to add that stamp to my collection.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite "lucky" story is also kind of a "what goes around comes around" story. It takes place over the course of three days. One morning I stopped to get gas and coffee before work. I was chit chatting with the clerk. As I walked to my car I realized she gave me $3 extra in change I went back and told her and returned the $3. She thanked me and assured me that for my honesty I would be rewarded "10 fold". Not "lucky" at that point but I felt good about doing the right thing.
ReplyDeleteThe following night I was gonna meet hubby at the local "watering hole" for a drinking after work. While waiting for him I bought $10 in pull tabs and won $30.(Remember the '10 fold' comment) When the bartender brought me my winning money, he accidentally gave me three $20s, instead of three $10s. I told him of his error and gave him the extra money. He smiled and told me my honesty would be rewarded.
The following day I got home from work, there was a message on my answering machine. I won $300, from a raffle ticket I had bought for a local charity event.
What goes around comes around!!

ReplyDeleteMy luckiest moment happened nearly 4 years ago when we found out that after 12 years and HUGE amounts of money and effort we were going to be parents. It's been one heck of a roller coaster ever since, but I wouldn't trade that day, or the ones afterwards for anything in the world.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, I always seem to have good luck at least a couple times a year but my favourite bit of good luck was when I turned 18 and won a trip for two to Las Vegas! Now what am I going to do in Las Vegas at 18? Nothing, so I sent my parents on their first vacation together and my mothers first plane ride! Needless to say they have been back almost every year since!

to be honest luck is how you look at the world...really my uncle named me bad luck schlep rock (from the flinstones) because when the family would play cards whoever i was standing by would start to lose and when i left their luck changed...i had the nickname for quite sometime but i have grown into it... my luck has really been the fact of being blessed with wonderful family!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so sweet! Love the pinks and all the textures you used! :^)
ReplyDeletehop hop hop
ReplyDeleteHey Vicki ~ Great Blog Hop for Hanna Stamps :)
ReplyDeleteI for one don't take much notice of Friday The 13th, as it's just another day in my books.
Personally, I can't brag too much about "Good Luck" when it comes to winning money, contests, lotteries or bingo, etc. My "Luck" is a bit different .... when I was 29, my husband and I were told we couldn't have a baby the ~natural~ way, so we started trying invetro fertalization and so on. It was never meant to be I try to tell myself. But at the age of 32 my dearest friend had her first baby, a boy named Liam. My husband and I were asked to be Godparents and now almost 13 years later, it's the BEST most WONDERFUL, LOVING thing that could have happened to us, especially since we never suceeded in having our own children.
We have a strong bond with Liam that I wouldn't change for the world. We go to all his school concerts and plays, and all his soccer and hockey tournaments, and every week we have a "family dinner" where we just catch-up on the week (if we haven't seen eachother) and then watch a video. Even in the Summer, we try and co-ordinate our vacations so we can spend part of them together at our cottages and again, enjoy eachother's company.
Luck I am truely not blessed in, except for the above comment. But Love, well that is obviously another story altogether :)
super super cute Vicki
ReplyDeleteThis card is so pretty and so sweet! :-)))

ReplyDeleteHmmm good luck. I'd say when I found 20 bucks in my jeans pocket. I honestly didn't know it was there and there was a pair of shoes I wanted so badly. So the bf made up the difference after I told him about my good fortune!

ReplyDeleteI love your coloring, what a beautiful wedding card! Friday the 13 is my lucky day, I always say. Mary Kay Ash, started her company on Sept. 13, a Friday! Although I am not a very active consultant, Mary Kay has taught me many things. The friends I have made and great times I have had, makes for some lucky, happy memories.
ReplyDeletelove your card this is fun Sarah
ReplyDeleteAwww this is a cute cute card! Very pretty coloring as always!! My good luck story for friday the 13th is that my cousin was born on friday the 13th, during a lunar eclipse and a really bad storm. We all thought that he was going to turn out to be some devilish child, but he proved us all wrong! Amazingly he is the sweetest little 9 year old!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jodi =)
What an adorable bride and groom! I'm designing the invitations for my son's summer wedding...wonder if he'd like this image on them...

ReplyDeleteCute card! I guess the luckiest I've ever felt is when I got a permanent full time job just a bout the same time that I bought a new house. No more worries about how I was going to make the house payment.
ReplyDeleteAwww, Riley is getting married. Such a cute card, Vicki!! I really love that heart ribbon that you used. . .it's so pretty and matches so nicely with the theme of your card. Awesome job coloring Riley. . .what's Riley's girlfriend's name?
ReplyDeleteHmmm. . .good luck story. I don't think this is a lucky story but I'll tell it anyway. . .the first time I ever went to Vegas. . .well, we vacationed in Chicago first before heading to Vegas. I was working at a hospital at that time and well. . .we were in this crazy crowded mall in Chicago, smack dab in the city. . I was just about to step on the escalator and I looked up and saw one of the doctors that work on my unit. Keep in my mind, I was living in Hawaii at this time and working at a hospital in Hawaii.
Therefore, to see a one of doctors that worked on my unit in a crowded mall in Chicago was really SHOCKING! I mean, it's not like Chicago is nearby to Hawaii and especially, of all places a crowded mall. Okay. . what does this have to do with Vegas? Well, after Chicago we stopped by Vegas. . I really thought the coincidence with bumping into the doctor meant I was going to win the jackpot. To end the story. . .I lost all my money but I still think bumping into the doctor in Chicago is a memorable coincidence. Okay, not a lucky story but I like telling it!! LOL
Maria
I've been happily hoppin through the hop...thanks for the fun. Your card is lovely!

ReplyDeleteThis card is super cute. I love the injection of red in the cut die piece, and the embossed background, but the cute little couple is adorable! Good Luck y'all!
What a sweet card! I had good luck once when I won tickets to a Renaissance faire. I won 2 tickets, and while standing in line to buy a third, a nice lady GAVE me one! It was perfect, we all got in for FREE!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card Vicki! So cute and I LOVE the pink!
ReplyDeleteSince you've showcased a wedding card, my chosen good luck story is my husband! He was assigned a summer internship in my hometown and needed a place to rent for the summer. As "luck" would have it I had job-shadowed a local real estate agent who knew my Dad had a small attached apartment for rent. The rest is history as they say...and that was 15 years ago this summer. :)
Great card. I may need to case this for mydaughter when she gets married next year.

ReplyDeleteOne of my luckiest days, and the world's luckiest days, was the day my dear mother was born... which happened to be on a Friday the 13th!
I also have a knack for coming across $20 bills on sidewalks, in stores and even on the floor inside a bank! That's pretty good luck in my mind!
