I find that Sympathy cards are always difficult to make. Sending someone a card is always difficult under these circumstances and wanting to make something that is appropriate for the receiver is always a concern for me. It seems that I have been making quite a few cards lately for my Mother. She is a gem, always doing nice things for myself and Jonathon, so when she asks for a card, it is no trouble at all to do that for her. It just seems that I have been doing it much too often lately.
The Blossom image from Our Craft Lounge Oriental Garden set is a perfect image for this card. I stamped it on Kraft Top note Die Cutouts in Brown Momento Ink. I used copic to add some subtle colour to the leaves and then filled in the blossom with white gel pen. I sponged some Sahara Sand ink around the image for shading. Base Cardstock is Kraft, with Chocolate Chip and Basic Grey DP accents.
The Oriental Garden set also contains pretty fans, bamboo, Lanterns, bonsai and Script. It will be available soon on their website

You're so right...these are the most difficult cards to make, especially if you don't have any on hand and have to make one during a sad time. You cards are absolutely PERFECT in every way, from the colors to stamps--love your label use etc. VERY elegant and lovely!

Yes, it is so hard making these and I think as you get older you will be needing more of these. I had to make 3 recently and that was very hard to do. You have made very pretty cards Vicki!=)
