TTC 13- The little dark haired girl

For the interior of my card, I created this fun scene using the stamps and the rainbow honey pop paper!
The clouds were created by stamping the large flowers in Sky Ink (Colorbox by Stephanie Barnard) and sponging the edges.

I used this run grass die from The Cat's Pajamas and sponged it a bit with Celery Ink

Here's the colour chart for my little dark haired girl.

The challenge will run from March 12th - March 24th with a winner being announced on March 25th.

Celebrate CPS!

Soooooo I am excited to share that i'm going to be a part of the CPS Design Team for a spell!

I'm keeping the seat warm for the very sweet Tami Mayberry, who is taking a little break!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE working with sketches, so I am SO looking forward to this!!!

For my card, I used this awesome clear set from Impression Obsession. It's called Let them eat Cake

Just perfect for this layout I think. I added some dimension to the card by embossing the corally later with a large circle folder and the main image with tiny dots! The Dotty paper is smoochable by Bo Bunny , which you've seen quite  a bit here 'cause i LOVE it!!!!

Crazy4Challenges 127 Spring is in the Air!

Frances is our Hostess today and she is challenging us with the following:

In the Northern Hemisphere, spring is in the air! Spring brings new life …. baby animals, flowers, Easter etc. Use this as your inspiration this week.

I used my Moremums2love set  from the Stamps of Life to create this fun, bright and cheery card! I know it's a little busy, but I like it!

More Springy Goodness from The Stamps of Life!

Here's some springy goodness. Newly released set this week from The Stamps of Life--Moremums2love
I was in a springy mood and created the card below by using the double emboss relief technique. I embossed the mums in white and sponged over with Stephanies Bubblegum and Sky ink. Then I ran in through an embossing folder to give it a bit more depth. While making this card, I had some espresso cardstock kicking around on my craft table and LOVED the Brown and Orchid combo!!! So I created the card above!

Crazy 4 Challenges 126- Fancy Folds

Frances is our Hostess with the Mostest this month and boy oh boy, she challenged us this week! Here's what she had to say about the challenge"

I've really been in the mood for creating bright and cheery cards. I think it's in hopes that Spring will get here quickly. So tired of the drab days, but at the same time, I'm enjoying the mornings now as it's actually daylight when I take little Sydney out for her walk!

Soooooooooo I kinda cheated a teensy bit when coming up with this idea for my fancy fold card.......it was getting later and later in the evening when I was getting around to creating.......yep, I am the worlds worst procrastinator I think. I needed to come up with something fast. While looking through some cardstock, I found this humongous tag that my friend Kim gave me a year or two ago...........two I think.....lol.........Sooooooooo I scored it a touch and Viola.........is that fancy enough for you?? Glad that I have another, 'cause I'm going to use it as a template now, because this sort of looks like a purse to me!

Again, having waited until the last minute to create my card, I knew that there'd be no time for colouring and seeing that I also procrastinated with making my Stamps of Life release cards this month, the new Mums2stamp was still sitting on my desk along with Stephanie's ever so juicy colorbox inks........so away I went. I love the pattern that I quickly created!

And then I made the interior!!! The sentiment is from the Sign4froggy stamp set.

I really like how this fun card turned out..........hmmmm maybe procrastination is not such a bad thing!!!

Have a Fabby Weekend!

New "Mumminess" from the {Stamps} of Life

  I have a couple of shares for you today from the March Stamps of Life release. Mums2stamp is another fabulous set! Stephanie just keeps coming up with these awesome designs each month. I love the simple artwork as it allows for endless possibilities in coming up with creations! I cased the layout for this card from a card that I had seen in a CTMH catalogue, It's 4.5 inches square and I tweaked it of course, to include stephanies stamps. I really like this fresh colour combo as it reminds me of spring!

This guy's a little unusual, but if you know me, I have a tendency to look at stamps and go off into a far far away place.............I was looking at the Mum image and thinking that it looked a bit like a lions mane and of course when I saw the sentiment, I knew that i'd have to create a card with a little critter!  The little doggie is from the Kids2love set. I also used the smaller mum image to create a bit of a border. The dog was stamped onto white paper, coloured with my Touch Twin Markers and then cut out with one of Stephanie's fancy label dies. I have a few more shares with this fun set, but I'll do that next week!!!!
