Caribbean Safari

I had a wonderful weekend with my best girls at Victopia this past weekend. It was one of our quieter events, with a small showing, but it was intimate and lovely! I SO appreciate my friends and how good they are to me!

I had a fabulous time creating this layout using  this great Sketch that can be found at Stuck?! Sketches. I LOVED feeding these gorgeous Monkeys in the Rainforest in Grenada last winner. What smart and beautiful creatures.

The Bo Bunny Safari Collection was perfect for these pictures

I can't wait to use more and share with you!

Gone Fishing!

You probably think i've gone fishing, or something of the sort!

Truth is, I've been working on my room. I'm pretty close to being done and will have pictures posted soon! What I will tell you, is that I LOVE my little Coastal Sanctuary!

In honour of National Scrapbooking Day, I thought I ought to create a layout

I also received a whack of Goodies from Scrappin' Great Deals, Including this great BO Bunny Forever Young assortment! Such fun and Lively Paper!!!

This is Jon around 2002

I used this Fabulous Sketch from the Stuck?1 Sketches Challenge!

Supplies

Bo Bunny Forever Young Collection

Yum

The rest of the paper is actually pieces from The  Ephemera Kit

I combined zig zag and Straight stitches to adhere the papers

The cool black chipboard shapes are also from the Ephemera Kit

Lastly, since I found the base paper a little stark, I took my Fan Brush and added splatters with

Dylusions  Paint in Vibrant Turquoise and Black

See you soon!

Simply Prima

I enjoy making these floral cards. I've never sent one through the mail, so generally the recipients of these cards are local. This card is quite similar to the  Birthday card in that I used the Prima Seashore collection. What differs is the colour combination. With this care, I focused on the earth tones, rather than the blue.

The sentiment is from the Hydrangea Cling Set, which also has matching Hydrangea Dies!

Way too cool!!!!

Hope to be back soon with another share! I've been busy working on my Bedroom.......

Out out OUT with the Old, in with the New

Happy Stamping!

You are enough

A very quick and simple share from Impression Obsession

I used this fabulous Sketched Roses CaC stamp masking out an oval for the sentiment.

I chose to highlight a single rose and colour it with my Touch Twin Markers as I thought it would drive the point of the sentiment home

Don't forget- You are Enough!

Have a wonderful day~ xx

Renew, Redo My Coastal Shabby Dresser

Oh my gosh, with my first two projects, I got my feet wet. I was quite happy with the chair and the frame and so with this one,  I dove right in!

I forgot to take a before picture, but the dresser was essentially a knotty pine..kind of blah!

The colours I used were Annie Sloan French Linen , Duck Egg Blue and Old White

The natural wood peeking through does not look as harsh in real life as it does in the photo's

I'm really enjoying the ease of the application of the paint and the results that I'm getting.

I'm currently working on my bedside table and am looking forward to sharing with you!

Impression Obsession Designer Challenge-You Did it!

Good Morning and Happy Spring! Although we are expecting snow today, I'm am positive that spring is on it's way, as you can actually see patches of grass through the snow. I've spotted some pretty chubby Robins kicking around and have seen some Ducks floating it bits of thawed sections of ponds and on the lake. That makes me super happy!

Today's challenge is to create a celebratory card, perhaps a card of accomplishment, like a graduation or a job promotion. A wedding card would be appropriate or in my case, a baby card!

If you want to enter your card in the challenge, head over to the Impression Obsession Blog to find out what you need to do to get the chance to win some stamping bucks from IO

While you're there, you can see who's playing the challenge today. Alternatively, you can follow the links on my sidebar~

For my card I used

I hd some Recollections Valentines Paper kicking around and used some Crumb Cake Ink to distress it a touch.

Hemp Ribbon Border and Button are by Prima Marketing!

Have a wonderful day and good luck with the Challenge
