Impression Obsession Thursday Designer Challenge-Ocean Breeze

Hey!

Hope you're all doing well. It's been pretty quiet here on the Blogging scene, but I'm happy to say that I've finished my Bedroom and Bathroom Reno's and will have some more time to play! YAY!!!!

This weeks Challenge is Ocean Breeze. I wanted to share how wonderful the Impression Obsession Stamps can work for Scrapbooking! I created this Ocean themed page. The photograph captured one of many beautiful sunsets I enjoyed while in Grenada last winter. I used stamps to create the background textures for the base and panels behind my main image.

The stamps I used included

and

I adhered my picture to the Layout and used Pier Posts to create an interesting embellishment. I gave the post a little more dimension by stamping it twice, cutting out the hemp wrap and adhering it to the main image with silicone! Every Pier Post needs a Bird so I added the tall Heron from the Shore Birds die collection. Finally I finished off the layout by adding the

Summer in Verse sentiment as my title. {yes, I used this one on last challenge! It's one of my faves!

Flower and Ribbon by Prima Marketing!

I was very pleased with the way that the layout turned out and hope that you enjoy it too! Make sure you head on over to the  Impression Obsession Blog to see who's playing today and to get the goods on entering the challenge!

Happy Stamping!

Caribbean Safari

I had a wonderful weekend with my best girls at Victopia this past weekend. It was one of our quieter events, with a small showing, but it was intimate and lovely! I SO appreciate my friends and how good they are to me!

I had a fabulous time creating this layout using  this great Sketch that can be found at Stuck?! Sketches. I LOVED feeding these gorgeous Monkeys in the Rainforest in Grenada last winner. What smart and beautiful creatures.

The Bo Bunny Safari Collection was perfect for these pictures

I can't wait to use more and share with you!

Gone Fishing!

You probably think i've gone fishing, or something of the sort!

Truth is, I've been working on my room. I'm pretty close to being done and will have pictures posted soon! What I will tell you, is that I LOVE my little Coastal Sanctuary!

In honour of National Scrapbooking Day, I thought I ought to create a layout

I also received a whack of Goodies from Scrappin' Great Deals, Including this great BO Bunny Forever Young assortment! Such fun and Lively Paper!!!

This is Jon around 2002

I used this Fabulous Sketch from the Stuck?1 Sketches Challenge!

Supplies

Bo Bunny Forever Young Collection

Yum

The rest of the paper is actually pieces from The  Ephemera Kit

I combined zig zag and Straight stitches to adhere the papers

The cool black chipboard shapes are also from the Ephemera Kit

Lastly, since I found the base paper a little stark, I took my Fan Brush and added splatters with

Dylusions  Paint in Vibrant Turquoise and Black

See you soon!
