Today's Challenge is called out of the Box!
I decided that I needed to create an ocean scene coming out of the Box!
I found this very cool box card template for my Silhouette and Modified it a touch!
I started by cutting out the box and snipping off the die cuts for the insert
I then created layers with the Gorgeous DP from the Prima Seashore Collection
I added some extra dimension to the designer paper by stamping on it randomly with the Cover a Card Scratches Stamp.
I used some Pretty Prima Trim to act as a base for underneath the Dream sentiment, which was stamped on a punched and sponged circle and layered onto an IO Die
I then cut several dies from the IO Shells Die set out of the Prima Paper
I glittered the edges of some and then used the Prima Chalk Edger to add some gold touches to the opposite edges of the shells.
I mounted the various shells on foam dots to layer and stacked them.
To finish the card off, I sprayed the Prima Resin Seahorse with Gold Foil Bloom Spray and then sponged with a Peach Chalk Edger. Doesn't it give him a natural look? I learned that technique when I had the opportunity to participate in Prima Art Venture Canada last weekend! I'll be blogging more about that later! Thanks Cari Fennel for the amazing tip to bring the resin's to life!
I also added some Viva Decor Gold Pearls to the Starfish and finally, some Seahorse say it in crystals for that last little bit of Bling that I always long for!
This is definitely an "out of the box" project for me and I'm gonna boast just a bit here by saying I LOVEEEEE it!!!!! hehe!!!
I sure hope that you will submit your out of the box project HERE on the IO Blog
Be sure to head on over to see who's playing the challenge today and to get all the deets on how you can win some IO Goodness!
Happy Stamping!
Absolutely the cutest! I smile every time I look at your creation. I will have to get busy and make an Easter box with eggs and a bunny jumping out.
