Christmas in Pink-the{Stamps} of Life

Christmas will be here before you know it! Although it doesn't really seem so, given the warm spell that we've been having as of late. That being said, I also feel kind of "February, Marchish" as that is when I usually get a dose of Bronchitis, similar to what I am experiencing now.

I've been fighting a cold for the last few weeks and it seems like that Bronchitis is a result of my inability to fight it off. I have been coughing up a long for several days; quite frankly, with this H1N! virus going around, the sound of my cough had some people kind of freaked out. If you know me at all, I do everything with exhuberence, including coughing! Deep, LOUD and sounds like I'm coughing up a lung...........ohh I'm rambling on here! I suppose you didn't come to hear me complain about my ailment, but then again, you never know what you're going to read here! lol!

This pretty card is made with images from Joy2Christmas, the latest release from Stephanie Barnard. I really like the versatility of this set and the ability to do two step stamping, which worked really well for the look that I wanted to achieve with this card.

I started with a Pale Pink Background as I had a confectionary look in mind. Using a Vibrant Pink ink, I stamped the trio of trees. I then stamped and embossed the tree outline stamp, the tree stump and the tiny snowflakes with silver embossing powder. I then sponged pale pink ink along the edges to create some additional dimension and dotted the border with white Gel Pen snow dots.

The Sentiment was stamped in Vibrant Pink......all was secured with a Ribbon and Bow and some dimensionals.

I have a few more good (well I think they're good!) ideas for this set.........I am thinking gift packaging and a holiday Scrapbook page........now just off to find some time to stamp!

Happy Stamping

  8. This is just gorgeous Vicki, I love the pink. Using your nesties for the trees and snowflakes , but leaving the white layer plain is so effective. Love it!!
