Christmas Stamping #42 It's a Colourful Christmas AND OCL Sketch!

It's Christmas Card Friday! Actually this week here in Kingston, it sure feels and LOOKS like Christmas! Big Fluffy Snowflakes have been falling for the last three days, creating a beautiful blanket of snow!!!! Feels like Christmas because I've had happy mail every day this week.....yep, stamps! Bringing all kinds rubber for me to play with! Can't wait to be sharing some stuff with you over the next month!

The theme for this week is It's a Colourful Christmas, hosted by ME!!!! I am a huge fan of Pink Christmas cards! so create a card in shades of pink!

We've started a fun challenge over at CSAYL......Each week one player will be chosen as our featured stamper. That player will have the opportunity to be a guest designer for the following week! Won't you play along with us?

In addition to featuring the OUR CRAFT LOUNGE Penguin Parka set, I've used a sketch From the OCL Design Team Friday Sketch Challenge

Each Friday on the OCL BLOG, you will see a fabulous sketch. Once a month a player is drawn from all the months participants to win a free stamp set! Fun!

Well, I think I better go dig out from under all the snow and clear the path to the mailbox! Hoping that there will be some more goodies there for me!

Happy Stamping!

Christmas Stamping is BACK!!!! Challenge #41 What's Cookin'!

We're Back!!!! So excited to be getting a start on my Christmas Cards early again this year!!! I also get to be the challenge hostess this week..........what's cookin' ? A recipe Challenge! Please make a card using only 2 layers, 3 buttons and some glitter!

I used this sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil for my card! Using a nestie as a template allowed me to achieve a multi layered look on my card!!! Rub ons and some Martha Stewart Pine Bough punch outs also gave me some dimension without bulk!

I coloured the image with Copics.......the little bit of glitter was added with Copic Spica Pens! Cardstock is Pine Green and the ribbon is from M's. I added a wee bit of snow with some white gel pen! If you know me well, you KNOW I love the snow scenes, although I wish that dratted snow would go away!

Our Team is back in full force this year, along with a couple of newcomers, my BFF Jacqui Lines and My Long Distance BFF Jeanne Streiff as well as Peggy, whom I've never met!

This year will be a little different in that on the first Friday of the Month, the team will challenge you to make some fun gift items. The rest of the month will focus on Christmas Card Challenges!

Sure hope you'll play along and link your cards on the CSAYL site

Happy Stamping!

Christmas Stamping All Year Long Tag Challenge #39

Sankari is our hostess this week, who challenged us to create a tag! I used this fun image from The Cat's Pajama's from the Deck The Halls set

I cut the Flower Tag from my Cricut Tags and More Cartridge in a Brilliant Blue Cardstock. The top layer is from the Eskimo Kisses Collection from Basic Grey.

I coloured the cute Puppy with Copics, highlighting with Gel Pen and adding Stickles for some glitz!

A Red Button and Ribbon add a little extra zip to the green and blue backgrounds! Hope you'll play along with us and check out the CSAYL Blog to see what we all have been up to!
Happy Stamping

Christmas Stamping All Year Long #38 Sketch Challenge

What a Thankgiving we had!! Boy was I stuffed!!! After following a fairly strict diet and eating regime for the last few months, I allowed myself a day of feasting!!! Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy.......Pumpkin Crisp and Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce........oh man! I'm almost nodding off in my chair as I write, I feel SOOO lethargic!

I used Maria's great sketch to whip up this quick and easy card. The main image and sentiment are die cut images from Kanban Crafts in England. They make matchiing 8.5x11 paper that compliments all the die cuts!!! I created this card in a hot Seven minutes and I think it's pretty! I added some half pearls from the dollar store to complete the sketch.

Want to give the sketch a try? Don't forget to check out my Sidebar to see what the other Christmas Stamping Diva's have created!!!

Happy Stamping!

Christmas Stamping all Year Long-Spotlight Technique and OCL Blog Candy Winner

I am the hostess for the CSAYL Blog this week! The technique-Spotlighting! This is a very easy, but effective technique. Basically all you do is stamp an image in one colour. Then you will stamp the image again, punching or cutting out the part of the image that you would like to see spotlighted, colouring that piece and mounting it over the main image. Easy Peasy!

Head on over to the CSAYL blog too see all the great creations!

Stamp is from The Stamp Barn in Ottawa Ontario. Funny I should use this image. I'm off to see AC DC in Ottawa today!!! Very excited and lots to do before I leave, so I better run!

But not before I announce the winner of my OCL Blog Candy. The winner is jaymack, who said I love Candy Corn and Halloween! Congratulations. Please email me with your address and I'll pass it onto the OCL team, who will mail you out your prize

Happy Stamping!
