Impression Obsession Fly Away Challenge and Blog Hop!

Today we're not only sharing some of the gorgeous new Impression Obsession Stamps, we're also playing the Fly Away Challenge. You can get all the details for the challenge over at the Impression Obsession Blog today, along with links to the creative designers that are sharing their art.

I adore this beautiful Bird Collage 4 image. I can see so much potential with this stamp. Unlike my Spooky Bird card from earlier in the week, I wanted to create something rather elegant. To do this I stamped the image three times using these awesome new cats eye stacks from colorbox. The base layer and the leaf layer were stamped with the twist stack, the pretty rose with the heritage stack. I really  love the saturation of ink that you get with these cut little pads! I layered each section with dimensional dots to give the card a three dimensional effect. Border Punches by Martha Stewart Crafts and EK Success were used to create the top and side borders and I used tone on tone layers to achieve what I think is an elegant effect! Tiny half pearls finish off the card nicely I think!

Hope you're inspired by the projects that you see on the hop today!

Happy Stamping!

  2. That bird stamp is so good that it doesn't need any supporting "cast" of embellishments, great move to keep it clean and simple.
