A Fond Farewell to Outlines and Monday Challenge-to Bleach it or Not!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend......it was chilly and rainy here for the most part, until the sun decided to peek out last night about 5 p.m. Sorry I'm late with my post, but my internet was wonky last night and for some reason, none of the browsers on any of the computers were working......things that make you go Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........lol....... anyhoo, here I am with my final DT creation for Outlines Rubber Stamp Company.
I've thoroughly enjoyed designing for Outline and am going to miss my fellow DT members much! Thanks Outlines for the wonderful opportunity to showcase your gorgeous images. I have to tell you all that the stamps are of extremely high quality, with deeply etched soft rubber, mounted on cling!
Our challenge for today is called "to bleach it or not". I chose the "not" because even with ink alone, I'm a messy marvin and quite frankly, bleaching kind of scares me............hehe.............well not really, but I've tried it before without much success and well, rather than taking the risk and having to smell the yucky bleach, I decided to create a card with the spotlight technique, which works extremely well with the Bleach it or Not Stamps

For this creation specifically, I used the Tulip stamp. I stamped the image on Pale Plum Cardstock with Perfect Plum ink. For the spotlighted image, I restamped a portion of the image on white cardstock in the dark ink and punched out the section that I wanted to highlight with a 11/4" punch. I then layered it onto a 1 3/8" Olive circle, Do you like the plum, olive and eggplant colour combination? I do!

Be sure to continue to follow the Outlines DT's for the weekly challenges. You can win some of this delicious rubber by playing along. See all of the Details HERE. I'm going to keep the links up on the sidebar for the DT, so you can see what they are doing! I hope to play along sometimes too, because I {HEART} their stamps!

Thank you Jenny Gropp for making it possible for me to be a part of this great team and to Outlines for your kindness and generousity! It's been a wonderful six months and I'm truly blessed to have worked with you all

Stampotique Magical Mystery Tour~

Join us for Stampotique's Magical Mystery Tour today.  Why a Magical Mystery Tour?  Comment on all the blogs and along the way we have 2 mystery prizes to give away.

If you have arrived here from Nellie's Blog then you are in the right place, if not, you may want to begin at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog and begin your tour from there.

A few weeks ago, Valerie had us recycling and this week she has us cleaning house again!!!  She's challenging us to dig in our stash to see how many scraps we can use up in our projects.  Just about anything qualifies as a scrap - as long as you're utilizing a piece or part of something that you generated before but never used up... it counts!  So what will it be?  Bits of an old master board or freaky background?  Leftover pieces of your favorite designer paper?  Part of an old piece of grunge board?  Fragments of a previously inked image?  Or the remnants of some odd embellishment?  Let's see just how creative you can be! Make sure you link your creation up on the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog
As you make your way through the tour make sure you comment on each and every post. There will be 2 prize winners chosen randomly amongst the blogs.  For some additional chances to win another prize join us with our "Scraps" Challenge using your Stampotique stamps for your chance at a $30 gift certificate for Stampotique stamps and at being our August Guest Designer, see our blog for additional information.

For my CAS card, I used some leftover Graphic 45 Designer Paper to ground my main image, which as you can see happens to be a sentiment. You can find it  HERE. In addition, I used the rest of the scrap and my Stampin Up Stacked flower punch to create the floral embellie!

Our tour will end on June 28th and the winner or the 2 tour prizes will be announced on our blog on June 29th.

You will want to jump on over to incredibly talented KATE to see what kind of scraps she has used on our Magical Mystery Tour.

Happy Stamping~

If you've been hopping already, you've just arrived from the VERY talented Andrea . Wow! I had a peek at her blog tonight...all I can say is AMAZING!

For my Card, I used some Ribbon from the June Ribbon Club Kit
I created the Ribbon Rose with the Blue Dotted Grosgrain and created a border with the Satin Argyle Patterned Ribbon. Pretty!
This Flower Soft Topper is from the Charlies Ark-3D Fun and Flowers Kit. In addition to the topper, I added some Ultrafine Sage Flower Soft to the grassy area and touches of Polar white to the Dandelions. I cut the Main image out with a Nestabilitie Die and chalked in some bliss blue Chalk, while leaving the die on to create the white borders.

Crazy 4 Challenges #91, It's a Man thing!

Our Fabby Crazy Lynda, brings us a Masculine Card Challenge Today! How Fun~

I broke out my new IPPITY Stamps for this one!
THE MAN
is one of the fun new Stamp Sets available exclusively from your Ippity Chick!
I'm offering Free Shipping on purchases over $35.00 this weekend and some blog candy! Check it out in this post HERE

I used this fun DP From Fancy Pants (it's the little things) and my new Fleur de Lis Rectangle Nestabilitie. I stamped the shirt image onto the DP and then sponged around the edges with black ink (hint: I cut along the sleeve line to ensure to get ink in all the right places to create shading). I have to apologize a wee bit for my stitching. It appears that my sewing machine has gone on the blink and I'm probably going to have to take it in for service...........so the sewing is a little gnarly..........thank goodness it's a MANLY card.........men don't mind gnarly........in fact they almost relish it!  Anyhoooo, I hope you all are having an AMAZING weekend!

Make sure you link your creation up on the Crazy Site and of course Check out my Crazy's Creations!

Everything's coming up daisies!

I have a few samples of the latest release from the {Stamps} of  Life. Daisies2garden is perfect for quick and easy cards!

Each of these cards worked up very quickly, but I still like the way that they look!

This card was a little more time consuming because of the reverse masking, but even at that, It was still a really quick card.

All Cards were made with the Daisies2garden set and you can find it HERE

C4C90 -It's Inspiring~!

This week, our lovely crazy Lynda presented us with this pretty pretty picture for our inspiration!

Here's what I came up with!

What stood out for me in the photo was the colour combination and the crows~ Luckily, I have this fun crow stamp from Stampotique Originals!  I used Crow Line along the top and bottom of the card after having created this fun background with sponges and Tim Holtz Distress Inks!

I cut out one extra crow and grounded it on this pretty Grass Stamp.

Lastly, I added the Sentiment, which you can find HERE

Want to play along? Head over to the C4C BLOG  for all the deets and to see the Crazie's Creations!

The {Stamps} of Life-June Release

Link
I'm excited to share two samples for you from the latest Stamp set now available at the {Stamps} of Life. What's not to love about Kids2love. So stinkin' cute that I can't stand it!
For my little Girl Card I used a combination of Jillbean Blossom Soup Paper, Lavender and Red Cardstock......who'd have thought they would match up okay!!!

I call this card "Leave it to Bieber"! I used one of the pony tails in the set to create this "Bieberish do". It seems to be a popular cut, but most boys would NEVER admit that it was a "Bieber Bob!" lol.............Jonathon had one for a bit, but quickly ridded himself of it when someone mentioned it resembled the "Bieb". I used the clouds from the Kites2fly set to make a bit of a background on the card base. Martha Stewart (Border) and EK Success (Stitch) punches were used to jazz up the turquoise layer. The blades of grass are made with the same stamp that I made the little lady's bangs with!!! I coloured with Copics on both images. Lastly, I used some Stayzon Ink to stamp the sentiment onto the ginormous green brad. Be sure to head on over to the {Stamps} of Life Gallery to see all the yummy new samples!

Happy Stamping!
