Touch Twin Challenge 15-Home Sweet Home!

'

I'm excited to share that my creativity has seemed to return!!! YAYYYYY!
After being in a funk for a few weeks, I spend an amazing day creating. Now that being said, I have to recreate something for tomorrow as I kind of messed up on my project, but that means I have TWO cards to share with you!!

The Touch Twin Marker Challenge for this week is to use Houses in your creations.

For our creations, the Touch Twin Artisans used this fun set called Houses4us
I decided to try something a little different today and colour directly onto Cardstock (RIver Rock) by Stampin Up! It actually didn't blend too badly and I like the results that I got with this colour combination
This is a pretty basic card, so to jass it up a bit, I used some Machine Stitching

Hope you'll head on over to the Touch Twin Challenge Blog and enter a fun creation!

Happy Stamping!

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C127. Don't forget to Go back to the C4C blog and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

New "Mumminess" from the {Stamps} of Life

I have a couple of shares for you today from the March Stamps of Life release. Mums2stamp is another fabulous set! Stephanie just keeps coming up with these awesome designs each month. I love the simple artwork as it allows for endless possibilities in coming up with creations! I cased the layout for this card from a card that I had seen in a CTMH catalogue, It's 4.5 inches square and I tweaked it of course, to include stephanies stamps. I really like this fresh colour combo as it reminds me of spring!

This guy's a little unusual, but if you know me, I have a tendency to look at stamps and go off into a far far away place.............I was looking at the Mum image and thinking that it looked a bit like a lions mane and of course when I saw the sentiment, I knew that i'd have to create a card with a little critter!  The little doggie is from the Kids2love set. I also used the smaller mum image to create a bit of a border. The dog was stamped onto white paper, coloured with my Touch Twin Markers and then cut out with one of Stephanie's fancy label dies. I have a few more shares with this fun set, but I'll do that next week!!!!

Hope you all have an amazing weekend. No big plans here, but hope to kick back and do some stamping!

For my card, I used a couple of fun stamp sets from The {Stamps} of  Life. Kids2love and the newly released Umbrella4you. The sentiment is from the Umbrella4you set.  I used the fun Cloud and Grass dies from The Cat's Pajamas and this great great DP is Smoochable from Bo Bunny and available at Scrappin' Great Deals and of course, my image is coloured with my awesome Touch Twin Markers

I have a couple of Favourites.......My FAVOURITE FAVOURITE~!... The Year Without a Santa Claus, ' cause I Totally LOVE Heatmeiser!

But that's not what my Card was inspired by.................my other favourite Christmas Movie is Rudolph.....not because of the Red Nosed Reindeer, who is very endearing, but because I LOVE the Burl Ives Snowman Character.

I love when he sings Holly Jolly Christmas

Scalloped Circles Framelits
Sizzlit Decorative Strip Die-Vintage Lace
Holly and Berry Sizzlit Die

One winner will win the Ultimate Color Sampler Pack ($25 value!) from The Twinery!!!
The prize winners will be announced on The {Stamps}of Life and The Twinery Blogs on Wednesday November 16th

For my card, I used a most unusual set  Cone2Dish to create my Christmas Trees. I stamped the
"Trees" in versamark and embossed them on gold onto my designer paper. I made sure the Red Tree Points on the DP, were placed into the middle of the image to resemble Tree Trunks. I then sponged some Kiwi ink to the edges to bring a wee bit more dimension. I mounted two of the three trees on dimensionals and added a splash of Polar White Flower Soft underneath to ground the tree trunks. I then added a few stick on pearls for xmas ornaments. For the background on the Kraft Card Base, I created a wintery scene with the flourishes from the Swirls2build set  and the  sentiment and Snowflakes from the Joy2Christmas set. I think the Cherry Red Twine sets everything off nicely. Here is the Hop in it's entirety!

Vicki Garrett-That's me!

Hope you enjoy all the fun ideas that you see on the Hop!

Go Knights Go!!

End of Football season is a sure sign that Autumn will soon be behind us with Winter fast approaching (very fast this year on the East Coast of Canada and parts of the U.S. as evidenced in the early snowfalls)

The Knights played their final regular season game this year against the Falcons.

The Falcons prevailed in this game, however the Knights played well against this Triple A team with a final score of 34-20. They still managed to maintain a first place finish in the Double A division and have earned a by to the Championship game on November 12th. Way to go Knights!

Of Course every game needs a Mascot and I couldn't resist picking up this Bee costume at the pet store. The main intent was that the little rascal (yeah, just caught her tearing apart a gift bag) would don School Colours for the game. She was made a huge fuss over by the spectators!!! Jon told me that at one point during the game, one of his teammates pointed her out and said "look Jon, your dog is a bee!".........lol.......later I said
"nope, she is a Knight"!

And of course, she watched the game intently~!!! I think she'd have been out on the field playing along if I hadn't such a good grip on her lead!

It was priceless to see many of the Big and Tough players softened by Sydney and her sweet costume!
I guess to boys, Bumble Bees are acceptable. I mentioned to Jon that I almost picked her up a Unicorn Costume, but decided to leave it at the last minute......he was quite pleased with that, indicating that a Unicorn would be far to girly! "But Jonathon, she IS a GIRL!!!".

I'm TOTALLY stoked for the Final Game. When the boys win this one, they'll be off to EOSSA, where they will compete at the Eastern Ontario Level. They could potentially compete Provincially should they be successful. Good Luck Boys, I believe you have what it takes to come out on top!!!

Speaking of Winter, Christmas will soon be upon us. Here's a share of a quick card I created for the CAS Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers this morning!!! You should check out the challenge for today. It's a colour challenge and I LOVE this combination! If I had a touch more time today, I'd do another

C4C 107 World Card Making Day

For today, Tammy would  like us to celebrate World Card Making Day by remembering others. The challenge is that you can make any card you want. However, she'd like you to find a worthwhile charity that you can donate your card(s) to after today, and follow through and DO IT! Call a local nursing home... the residents love to have cards they can send to their family members. Check with your local hospital and see if you can donate cards to their gift shop. Maybe a local senior center?

If you'd like to find out more about Operation Write home, please visit the C4C Blog

Today I have a couple of shares for you from the newly released Penguins4Christmas set from The {Stamps} of life.

It's REALLY late here, so I'm not going to say a lot about the cards except for there are a lot of fun images in this Monthly Kit. Be sure you head over to TSOL and check out the Gallery. If you have specific questions about the cards, pop me an email and i'll answer it as quickly as I can!

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C107. Don't forget to go back here and link it on Mr. Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

Be sure to follow the links in the sidebar to see my crazie's creations!

Crazy 4 Challenges 105- Add a Pumpkin!

It's Saturday which means the "Crazies" are back with another fun challenge for you all.

Before we get into today's challenge, as this week is a sponsored challenge, we need to introduce this month's sponsor,  Creations by AR. Adela has some awesome templates on her site which I know the "Crazies" have had fun playing with for our challenge this week. I am also  very lucky to be a part of Adela's Challenge Team!  The templates come in all formats: PDF, SVG and DXF so that you can use them with your electronic die cutting machines or cut by hand if you don't have a machine. This week's winner will receive two templates of their choice from Creations by AR.

Adela has also offered our blog readers a 10% discount on all her templates during this challenge so that is from September 17th to September 23rd. All you need to do is use the code: challenge10 when you go through the check out.

Photobucket

Now it is time for our challenge, Barb is back with another fun fall themed challenge for us all! This week all you have to do is create a card or project with a pumpkin on it in some form. It can be a card or 3D project.

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C105

For my project, I started with Adela's Slotted Gift Box. Because I have a Cricut and the Make the Cut Program, I find that the PDF format works best for my cutting needs.
I used some very fun stamps from the {Stamps} of  life, Solids4Halloween , Spooky2scare and  All4stars

I also got the Opportunity to work with Stephanie's Brand Spankin' new Color Box Inks Can you say YUMMY!!!!! I Totally LOVE these inks. I couldn't believe how vibrant the colour is and how juicy they are.
For this project I used Grape, Licorice and Tangerine.

Another thing I loved about the inks is the smooth effect that I achieved while sponging the edges of the box!!! I have worked with a lot of ink over the years and I have to say I'm totally impressed!

If you'd like to play along with us, be sure to follow the link on the sidebar to the C4C blog.

Now take a few and check out my Crazy Girl's Creations. I had a peek when I was uploading my projects and they're all delish!

Crazy 4 Challenges 103-Back to School-Locker Talk!

Hi everyone and happy Saturday.

It's a new month so it is time to introduce a new challenge hostess to you which is Barbara Anders. Barb has some wonderful challenges in store for us in the coming weeks.

To get things started let's do a Back To School themed card. Anything about back to school works!

I decided to do something a little different this week. Although I LOVE to design cards, I want to expand my horizons a wee bit with more altered projects and Scrapbook Layouts. So, I created this magnetic backed altered tin for a School Locker. You could put all sorts of neat "Stuff" in it, such as money, hair clips or little bits and bobs. I picked up this tin a gazillion years ago and thought it was about time to dust it off and do something with it. I used nestie Die Cuts Scalloped Circles and Large Circles to cover the front of the tin.I ran the Kraft Paper Circle through a Sizzix notebook embossing folder.  Stamps are from the {Stamps} of Life-
all4stars and boxes4abc. I added a touch of floral ribbon and embellished that with a star button that I coloured with my Touch Twin Marker- (Y34-Yellow). This was a fun project to complete and although I'm sure that Jon won't be likely to hang it in his locker, I'm sure he can find a girlfriend that would, given that I created it in his School colours.

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C103. Don't forget to go back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

You should see what the other crazies have been up to this week-gorgeous stuff!!!
