The Paper Loft Sketch Challenge 2

There's a new Sketch Challenge going on at the Paper Loft!
Hope that you'll participate and perhaps you can join us on the Design Team in March! How exciting would that be??

For my Layout, I used papers from the Funkysaurus collection!
I love this picture of Jonathon on his First Birthday....check out the dippity doo on top of his head. I'm SURE he will love me for styling it that way.....actually, I think we can blame Grandma for that!
Look at that sweet dimply chin.....still one of his finest features I think!

Here's the Sketch if you want to play along

I complemented my layout with Stamps from the {Stamps} of Life

The sentiments and arrows are from the latest release

Lots of Fun!

Happy Stamping and be sure to head on over to the Paper Loft Blog to link up your project!

I can see myself using this image over and over!!!!!

Coloured with Touch Markers, I've included my colour Map. This one was very simple!

Designer Paper is from the Paper Loft, Easy Breezy Line!

Happy New Year!-Bloom where you are planted

Happy New Year! Hope you enjoyed a nice evening and New Years Day with your Family! I enjoyed a quick visit with Pauls Brothers and Sister in Law. Although we spent 8 hours on the road in just over 24, it was worth the trip to meet Pauls Brother, who had travelled from British Columbia for a visit. We enjoyed a very quiet evening including a Yummy Lasagna Dinner made by Tom!

I made this card for Todays Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. A quick and easy card, but I like it. I like the saying......I suppose it could be interpreted in a lot of ways, but for me I viewed it as taking what you have and making the best of it. Developing and growing within the circumstances that you are living in. I think that's good inspiration for the New Year. Rather than making resolutions for which I have a tendency to break, I am going to try to bloom... face the obstacles that fall upon my path this year and just forge forward!!! Hope you all have an amazing day!!!!

My Scraps & More-Sketch 9-Perfect Weather

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Ours was quiet, but nice. Paul and Miranda shared Christmas Morning with us and had a good breakfast before heading off to visit family in London. That left myself, Mom, Dad, Jon, my cousin Faye and Sydney of course!

The fresh blanket of snow made for a very pretty winter scene and we enjoyed some play time outside with Sydney, who had a blast chasing snowballs

I created this layout for the My Scraps & More Challenge. I have a whole slew of photographs and will likely make this into a two page layout, but before I do that, I have some things I have to get working on before we head back to London to bring in the New Year with Pauls Family, weather permitting!

Supplies:

Kraft Cardstock-CTMH
Designer Paper-Easy Breezy  and Scattered Pine Mountain from The Paper Loft
Embellies: Graphic 45, Tim Holtz and Dollar Store. Easy Breezy Cardstock Embellies!

Happy Stamping!

You are Fabulous! Crafting Resolutions!

I took some time to play the Splitcoaststampers Way to Use it Challenge
The challenge was to revisit last years resolution to see if you had followed through. Since I didn't establish a resolution last year, I thought what a better time to make one! So.....my resolution is to use more background stamps this year! I have some amazing ones, but have a tendency to lean toward using Designer Paper. So this year, you will see more background stamps!!! I may even step it up a notch and do some techniques with backgrounds as well! We'll see, baby steps first. I hope you enjoyed a nice Christmas. We had a quiet day, but it is always good to spend family time.

It's hard to believe that 2012 is quickly coming to an end and the New Year is less than a week away....sheesh, the older I get, the quicker time flies by~

Well i'm off to have a warm bath and get the winter chill out of my bones

Have a great night~
