IO stamps Old is New

Good Morning
They're not kidding when they say everything old becomes new again!

I am loving this new feature at IO stamps!!!!
It gives me the opportunity to revisit many of the stamps and sets I've stowed away!!!

On this blustery day, I was wishing for a cool spring day, the grass as green as the sweet frog peeking out from behind my card!!!

Can you see the wee bit of texture in the clouds?

I used the mesh Mesh Circles Cover a Card stamp with baby blue ink to create a little more texture
Next, I coloured the flowers, bunny and bicycle from the  Riding Pretty stamp set with my Copic Markers. I cut out the sweet little images with the accompanying  Bicycle Die Set.
I created the background for the card by softly sponging on the following ink

Then, I wanted some whispy grass, so I used the  Icicle Edger Die

The tree is from the Tree Frame Die, but I cut the frame part off!

I didn't want to add anything more to the front of the card, so I added the sentiment on top of a soft spring scene on the inside

I'm longing for a pretty spring day like this one!!! How about you?

Impression Obsession Thursday Designer Challenge- All about Love!

Good Morning!!!!!

This week, the IO DT is featuring LOVE cards, yep Love!!!!

What can be sweet then these two little Bees?

It's funny, the cards that I've been creating as of late have been evoking some pretty cool memories.
As I'm blogging, this card made me think of my Father.
When I was a child, Sunday Drives were a regular occurrence.
Who knew where we were going to venture to, but sometimes we would stop and have some lunch or dinner, depending on where our travels took us to.

At the restaurant, I was pretty consistent. It was usually Fish and Chips and Orange Pop (I'm not a huge fan of Fish and Chips anymore and Orange Pop? Well, that just makes me cringe.

Anyway, in case you're wondering where the Bee's come in, it was usually when we sat down at the table to peruse the menu, my Dad would ask me; "What are you having today Vic, an elephant's ear on a bun, or bee's knee's on toast. Of COURSE that would set of a fit of giggles with Dad insisting both options were quite tasty. I've yet to try either, but who knows, maybe bee's knees are a delicacy somewhere in the world?

I combined old and new stamps to create my card. I coloured the Bee's in Comic and added some delicious glitter to their wings.

Have you tried the Stamper's Anonymous Glitter Duster yet?
It's my FAVORITE tool!!!!

Here are the links for the stamps I used:

Cutie Kitties

Hey!!!!

I wanted to share my creation with Nola Chandlers Fun Felines

I'm pleased to introduce you to:

I LOVE that one of the Kittens is named Sadie. That is my Grandma's name. Sadly, she wasn't very fond of her name. Apparently, she was supposed to be named Sarah, after one of her Aunt's, but when her father registered her Birth Certificate he forgot which Aunt she was to be named after and chose Sadie!!! I LOVE her name. It has become increasingly popular over the years. When I was in the Hospital giving birth to Jonathon, there was a sweet baby girl named Sadie born the same day!

My Grandma couldn't seem to get over that!!! WHY would anyone call their girl Sadie, she said?
Why? because it's an adorable name!!!!! I miss her dearly.

I coloured the Kittens with Copic in the CG series 1, 3 and 5

Lastly, I paired the card with the Live Life sentiment!!!!

I just think these images are PURRRRRlicious!!!!!

Oh my goodness!! The Artwork is amazing isn't it?

Today my card features stamps from one of my fave IO Artists-Seth Apter!
This was a super quick card. I started with one of my Gelli Printed backgrounds and then stamped Mislabled over the top. Then I simply stamped one of the images from Writer's Bloc and layered it onto some coordinating cardstock! Super easy!!!!

Spring Release Celebration-IO Stamps Day 3

Good Morning!

I hope you're enjoying the celebration so far.

Today I'm sharing another super cute stamp with you!

I coloured the birds with Copic Markers, all the while singing the Bob Marley tune "Don't Worry" lol......"three little birds, pitched by my doorstep. Singing sweet songs, a melody pure and true".
As I had finished up the birds and leaves and when I was colouring my beaks, I had a HuGE OOPS!!!
Yep! My Copic barfed out a big blob of Yellow Ink.....what to do, what to do? Well I thought I'll just put a bunch of ink blobs around my tweeting trio and Viola! A background fit for a bird, or three.

The sentiment can be found HERE

Be sure to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate. We all have one to give away!!!! You can see who's playing on the IO Blog

IO Stamps Spring Release Celebration Day 2

Hello Again!!!

Here we are on Day two of the IO Stamps Spring release celebration.
I've gone from Fur to Foliage today, bringing you a couple more pretty samples!

For my first card, I coloured this pretty Beautiful Books Stamp with Prism Pencils.
I don't use them often, but I love the layers of colour you can get with them.
I wanted to have a base to ground the main image, so I used the new Lavender Grass Stamp
and Mint Ink. I cut the main image out and layered it over the Lavender Grass Stamp.

Make sure you head on over to the IO stamps Blog to see who is celebrating today.
Each one of us has a $25.00 Gift Certificate to give away from one lucky person who comments on our posts through the week!!!!!!

Ahhhh Top O' the Morning to you!!!!!

This Happy Clover is totally adorable.
I stamped the Shaded Clover image in MInt Ink and Lime Ink, using my Misti.
I added the Happy St. Patricks Die Sentiment and the sweet little shamrock from the Shamrock Die set

See you tomorrow with some new shares!!!!!

Have a WONDERFUL day!

A random challenge project will be selected to showcase on the IO blog AND you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate from IO just by playing!

My Project is my first Art Journalling Page of the Year
I Love this NAMASTE stamp . It's a wonderful message for the beginning of a New Year.
This year I plan to focus on opening myself to the Universe and honouring the blessings that are bestowed upon me daily. It's been a long journey back to myself since my health issues commenced back in 2014. I believe that was a wake up call to recognizing the unhealthy choices in my life with regard to relationships, habits and allowing energy vampires to sap me of not only my energy, but of my confidence and sense of self.  The journey has been slow, but not without great significance and many wonderful lessons along the way. I'm still far from my destination, but I intend to enjoy each moment, challenge, struggle and achievement along the way.
Namaste is significant in reminding myself of the universal connectedness we all share. No matter who we are. In understanding that, I remain mindful of the way in which I  treat others and in the way I look after and empower myself. It allows me to do my work without judgement and make choices that are in my best interest in a thoughtful manner. At times, being human we can stray from those principles. Therefore I intend to use Namaste as a way of bringing my thoughts and behaviours to a place where I honour the light in other's as it is also within me.

In addition to the Namaste Stamp, I used the following supplies for my page.
Tim Holtz Distress ink in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Peacock
I hope you enjoyed my share with you today

~~Namaste--
