Stampotique Designers Challenge # -Acetate

It’s time for another Stampotique Designer’s Challenge. This week Willy is challenging you to use ACETATE in your creation. You can make your whole creation of acetate or just use a little piece of acetate in it… there are so many possibilities.

Take a look at the fabulous Design Team samples for a lot of inspiration. Please remember, this week is a Stampotique Originals stamps only challenge so take out your Stampotique stamps and join us for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate to shop at Stampotique Originals.Link up your creation here and don’t forget: only one entry per person please!

For my focal point, I used Relaxin, one of my favourite Daniel Torrente images. I coloured her with Copics and cut out all around the image. I then added a cut out to my card base using a floral nestabilitie. I added some dimension to my acetate by running it through a cuttlebug folder and created a floral border with a cool embellie that I found in the Bargain Bin at M's!

For the interior I wanted to imitate a rainfall like pattern and add a little bit of oomph behind the acetate , so I used the Strung Background Stamp. I then stamped the sentiment-Quiet Place in not quite navy ink. Lastly, I added tad of white gel pen around the cut out border and to add highlights to the image!!!

Hope you'll play along

Hugs!

SDC30 Recycle!

This week, Valerie is excited to challenge us to make use of items that might otherwise be destined for the landfill by re-using them or re-purposing them into a unique piece of art. The design team has pulled out all of the stops to provide the most wonderful inspiration for this challenge!!

Join our fabulous design team and create a project using stamps from any company for your chance to win a $30 Stampotique Originals gift certificate. We will randomly pick a winner with the announcement of the next challenge.Make sure you load your creations HERE

***************************************

For my card, I used these three fun and freaky images: Santa Baby , Noelle and O Joy. The Jingle sentiment on the tag is from the Jingle Bells sentiment. I masked the images before colouring them in order to have Noelle take the forefront ahead of her gruesome boyfriends

In terms of recycling, the cross hatch dp behind the main image is actually a packaging card from some Jillibean Tags. The Jingle tag on the card is an actual tag that I recycled off a Pier One Bubble Bath. I simply stamped the Jingle Bell sentiment and cut out the "Jingle" to fit the middle of the tag The sparkly Ribbon was also taken from the Ornament Shaped Bubble Bath.

Lastly, the silver beading was rescued off some venetian blinds that were in my father's salvage pile........... I have several yards of this and like to use it from time to time. The images were coloured with Copic Markers with some silver gel pen accents!

Sure hope you'll play along with us!

Outlines Monday Designer Challenge-Focus on Florals!

Good Morning! Hope you've all been well. Things have been pretty crazy in my life lately and I'm sorry I've been scarce! Anyway, our DT task for this week is to make a card focusing on Floral Images. I chose this pretty image, as I thought it would be just perfect for this challenge. The sentiment is from the inner square of this stacked image: To you -sm square. I used a marker on only the words and then punched around the sentiment with the small tag punch from Stampin' Up! I coloured the image with Copic Markers, adding a wee bit more dimension with a Light Blue Viva Decor Pearl Pen as well as a touch of Sunny Yellow to the middle of the pink flower.

I embossed the card front using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and added a tiny bit of linen thread to attach the tag to the Hat image as well as a flower from Prima to ground the tag sentiment. The wee pearls are dollar store finds.

Hope you have a wonderful week and follow the links on my sidebar to check out the gorgeous DT creations

Happy Stamping!

I kept the card base simple with some Mustard and Chocolate cardstock!

Outlines Monday Designer Challenge-Round the Corner

Made a quick and easy card for this challenge! The task this week was to have rounded edges on your creation! Using this sweet Murtle Stamp made this card work up very quickly! I added to the "Round" Theme by embossing my card front with a Cuttlebug embossing Folder. Murtle was coloured in with copics, the center of the flower "popped" by adding a Yellow Pearl Pen Pearl, one of many colours of Vivah Pearl Pens available at Outlines.

The Tiny Thinking of You sentiment is available HERE

DP is from Stampin' Up! Cobweb Punch is a Martha Stewart Border Puncn. I added some dimension to the black panel with a Tim Holtz embossing folder by Sizzix.
